Ripped off

I asked for an early checkin when I booked. When I arrived off an overnight flight at about 8.30am, I was told I would have to pay 50% of the full rate in order to get into my room before 12. Since I was tired out of my mind, I agreed. Then the guy tells me I still have to wait an hour. They said they would come get me when my room was ready, and I told them I would be in the restaurant, but they completely forgot me. Finally at 10.30 I got into my room. So i paid $150 for 90 minutes for an ordinary room. What upset me was that the guy was rude and couldn't care less.

Great Hotel with Friendly Staff

I had a great time at the hotel. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very nice, and clean. The location is okay, it isn't too far from the airport, and is about 20 minutes by taxi to the Forbidden City (unless it is rush hour). It is also connected to a mall and the Spa is amazing. The only issue I had, was one of the cleaning service ladies came into my room and started a turn-down service even though I said no. But to be fair, I don't think she spoke any English. The hotel restaurants are also very nice, but the drinks (sodas, juice, and water) in the mini-bar are way overpriced. Roughly 45 rmb for a Sprite (4 rmb from a vending machine).

Week of Excellence

The total experience was excellent. Extremely polite staff, comfortable room with large shower, seperate bath and private toilet. Temperature control worked perfectly in the room and the maids were quick to clean dispite our odd hours. The area was good for restaurants, cabs and or subway. The pool and fitness area were spotlessly clean and generously sized - the only, albeit slight drawback was the gym had very minimal equipment.

hotel beijing

we booked a superior suite with one king and two single bed and got a standard only. It was awkward as we had to sleep in one bed with our child and we actually paid more than for a standard room
