good central location
reasonable price, not impressed with house cleaning. Desk, glasses, cups not replaced or clean during my 12 days of staying. Towels and bed sheets are not pure white, otherwise everything else is very acceptable.

shopping center very close by. subway station 5 minutes walk. all kinds of fast food and nice restaurants and Starbucks are within short walking distance.

Good location, fair price, attentive staff.
Location is very good to walk to a number of tourist sites and to Subway lines. Staff courteous and helpful, reception/lobby and dining areas very nice. Rooms are rundown and marginally clean. Not luxury by any means 3 vs 4 star current rating. Fair price to have room in central location and good breakfast buffet.If you want relaxation in comfortable in- room furnishings or other in-hotel amenities it is lacking . Would recommend to friends on a tight budget.

Short walk from hotel
Use the subway system. Cheapest most reliable transportation if you have a good tourist map. Once you are oriented to the subway lines you can get very close to many attractions. Be prepared to walk 1/4 mile or more to sites from stations.

my friend and i went to forbbiden
my friend and i went to forbbiden city and got separated because so many people, he couldn't handle a heat so almost colapse (it was 39 degrees celcius and 90% humidity) he rang hotel and harry (assisten manager) sent one of the staff straight away to bring my friend back by push bike, what amazing it was, thanks all the staff.

Dong Jiao Min Xiang Hotel is quite good because its affordable and near to the mall wherein you can shop. It's also a safe place to stay even late at night..

Very centrally located but amenities
Very centrally located but amenities fairly basic and staff had very limited English. Also had construction in room next door which started at 7am .

Great location close to Tiananmen
Great location close to Tiananmen Square. The new executive floor has very nice rooms. The food on the other hand is not very good, but there are plenty of restaurants around to choose from.

This hotel is very convenient
This hotel is very convenient for Tiananmen Square, Fobidden City, etc., which is good. The hotel itself is somewhat 'threadbare'. It seemed to be basically pretty clean, although furniture and fitting were rather worn. OK at the price ($65/night) for a couple of nights.

ok hotel
it was cheap. there was a huge stain on the carpet and generally dirty. pretty convenient location.
