Business Trip one night stayover in Beijing

Room was in tower #2, room was very noisy, window was vibrating loudly when wind blew. I tried all the normal methods of abatement of noise, called hotel staff and finally they moved me to another room, lost much needed sleep and no apology was offered. No consideration given on room fee. Poor customer relations. Not my normal experience at this hotel. Usually it is adequate.

Shuttle was a disaster

I arrived in Beijing expecting a shuttle to run between the airport and the hotel. No one was very helpful and finally a lady behind the tour counter called the hotel for me and arranged for them to pick me up in their shuttle. I waited abotu 20 minutes - the hotel is a good 10 minutes away from the airport. Finally it arrived. The hotel itself is good - what you would expect. But you have to pay for Internet in room and WIFI in the lobby is free. I ordered a wonton soup for rooom service - they delivered it without the condiments I specifically requested so they had to come back. When I booked my morning shuttle, I asked how far in advance I should leave for my 8:15am flight. They suggested 7am. I am so glad I went with my gut and asked to go in the 6:30am shuttle instead. In hindsight I should have asked for the 6am shuttle. I got on with about 8 others. IT left 10 minutes late as they waited for more guests to join! They stopped at Terminal 3 first, where everyone got off but me (I was going to Terminal 1). One man was getting off but was instructed by the driver that he needed to go to TErminal 2 not 1, so to stay on. The terminals are not close to each other. Halfway through, the driver calls the hotel and finds out he needs to drop said passenger to Terminal 3!! So we turn around and go through it all over again. By the time I get to my terminal its 7:30 - the line-ups for check-in and especially security are long and slow. By the time I make it through, its past my boarding time so I run to my gate. The final leg was going down escalaters and as I fly down, I literally fell down the escalater and got quite bruised up (not to mention caused a scene). All of this could have been prevented if the shuttle driver didn't make the mistake he did. If you stay here and take the airport shuttle, call in advance for your pick up and leave 2.5 hours before your flight so you don't end up injured or missing your flight.

Sufficient but expected more.

Cons: The check-in and check-out process was painfully slow, internet is VERY expensive, no hot tub, terrible location, thin walls Pros: room was nice, good restaurant and room service, good fitness room (a biggee for me) Unless it was the cheapest option, I doubt I'd stay here again.

Nice Place

I arrived very late (midnight) but they had ample staff to help me and get me checked in right away. The room was very, very nice. I was basically staying here overnight before heading back to the airport for a domestic flight to western China. Very good food at the breakfast buffet, and the staff were very helpful in getting me checked out and on my way the next day. I will definitely stay here again when I have a similar need.

I thought this hotel locates very near Beijing International Airport. But, it takes about 20-25 minutes by the hotel's shuttle bus to the airport. If the close distance or the fast access to the airport matter to your choice of this hotel, it is NOT recommended. Otherwise, it might be ok.

Free bus transport to airport very useful. Excellent hotel if you need to be near to the airport. There is very little in the area around the hotel.
