Great Location

The hotel staff was slow and not very helpful, and the room was never properly cleaned. Hotel amenities were good and the location was great, for shopping, and restaurant's.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I stayed here. The only problem that I have is that they asked for 400RMB deposit. That's... a lot. But all in all, reasonable price and good location.

Good location, nice rooms, no WiFi

The hotel was conveniently located on a major street only one block from a subway station; the airport was only about 30 min a way by taxi. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a glass-walled bathroom for minimal privacy. The bed was like a sheet of plywood topped with a blanket, but I actually slept very well on this firm mattress. Unfortunately, the walls were paper-thin, and all of my neighbors enjoyed blaring their TV and yelling at each other in Mandarin until 2am. At any one time, only one staff member with the faintest knowledge of the English language was working. I was dismayed that this establishment called itself "International". No one in the restaurant could speak any English, for example. There was no fitness center. I was VERY disappointed that there was no wireless internet in this hotel. This was clearly specified on my reservation, but the hotel only has wireless in the restaurant. The rooms have ethernet ports and free internet, but the provided cables are too short and do not stretch to the bed. This is not WiFi.

This hotel is right on "Ghost Street" and is lined with restaurants for several blocks, some of which are open all night long.

Great service, no problems at

Great service, no problems at check in. Rooms are nice and spacious. The location is absolutely excellent - closest subway station has 2 subway lines (including the main one around the city and to Beijing train station) and a special line that runs straight to the airport. Only problems were that the rooms are not very well lit, only lamps, no ceiling lights, and the beds were a bit springy. Would definitely recommend and stay again (stayed 2 times already!).

Its great, and gotten greater

Its great, and gotten greater because the Airport Express rail comes to Dongjiemen station, which is 5 min walk from the hotel. The sorrounding area is a rather famous hot-pot restaurant area, so eating is not a problem. The rooms are so-so big, and many things (like the city map) are not for free, so be careful. Also, they ask you for 200 Yuan deposit when checking in. I'm not sure if you can just leave your credit card imprint. But all in all, good value for money.

There was a problem with my check-in.

There was a problem with my check-in. First the hotel could not find my reservation and then demanded that I pay for my stay. The staff checked with their manager and I was given a room. Then it turned out the room I was given was being occupied. The hotel made up for the foul-ups by giving me their biggest room on the floor. Thus I had a pleasant stay for 6 nights in a very spacious and well-furnished room. The hotel location was also quite good, between 2 subway stations and two different lines. At least 2 major shopping malls and supermarkets are within walking distance from the hotel. Would consider staying there again when next in Beijing.

I think if you compare what you

I think if you compare what you get here for the price to what you get at a Hilton or Shangri-La, you should take a day off and laugh at people coming out of them. The big rooms are a really good size and are set out with style. It has great bathrooms and the breakfast is varied and tasty too. It has an amazing street of restaurants outside, and is a very reasonably priced taxi ride (many of which are abundant outside) from most major tourist locations. There are always negatives, and here they would be the price of the laundry, the lack of light for the size of the room, the TV reception for some channels and some of the animals on the menu (though the choice & standard's very good)! If you want a stay that's convenient, honest and comfortable, you won't go wrong here!
