Overpriced & Smug

Have stayed at this hotel several times, the value for money and service decrease every year. No prior notification that the pool would be closed for repairs. Room & quilt was far too hot to sleep in yet the air con was disabled overnight and the room remained at 24-25* despite my setting it at 16 (several other guests had the same experience, so it is clearly a cost cutting exercise). Notice warning not to drink the tap water but only a quarter of a person's required water intake was provided complimentary. Not even overpriced mini bar water was available. No upgrade or additional services were offered for loyalty, even though I am a regular customer, have a Marriott card and paid with a Marriott Visa. The original chef has obviously left, several items from the menu were not up to the usual standard. I will not be returning and have recommended it be struck from our company preferred hotel list.
