Plaza El Bosque

We ended up here becuase Ritz, Intercontinental and W all booked - and we are glad we did. Was in lovely quiet neighborhood - and the hotel itself was amazingly solid and quiet. we enver even heard another door close despite being near elevator. Staff was warm and helpful, room was clean and well appointed with small kitchenette, bed very comfy. Can't think of any negatives. Good lobby bar, great work out space with good equipment. Solid 4 star!

El Bosque excellent stay

Though we arrived very early (7:00 AM) they were gracious and offered to allow us early check in. Room was lovely, very clean, comfortable bed, a good living area with small kitchen (this was a suite). Staff was very helpful, polite and always willing, not like so many we interact with these days. Location was close to our meeting and in a good area for restaurants. VERY quiet - we never once heard another visitor once we closed the door to our room.

Good

Arrived late, well attended by night staff, received a free upgrade to Junior Suite, left early in the morning with hotel's cab already organized. Good stuff. Might be even better if you stay longer.

Clean, comfortable, well-located

My wife and I stayed at Plaza El Bosque for 2 nights. We had booked a standard room but were upgraded to a suite for no extra charge when we said at check-in that we wanted a quiet room with a nice view. The hotel is located in a business district, so it's likely that it had a lot of vacancies because we were there on a weekend. We chose this hotel because we were advised that its location is convenient for accessing the main sites of Santiago via subway and is a little nicer than staying in the city center, where things shut down pretty early for tourists. There are a number of restaurants not too far from the hotel. I got a better rate for the hotel using its online booking tool than by emailing the hotel directly. Also I noticed that the weekend rate at the hotel was quite a bit lower than the weeknight rate. The hotel is clean, comfortable, has wifi throughout (included in the room rate), and has nice views from the upper floors. We checked out the rooftop bar (also where breakfast is served) one evening. Amazing views, but it wasn't very lively so we didn't stay long. Breakfast is included with the room. Food was average; a decent selection but nothing special (eg., eggs made-to-order would be nice). I give it an above-average rating though for the view. Staff was friendly and helpful, and we had no communication problems despite our very limited Spanish skills (many of the staff members have good command of the English language).

Santiago Trip

The Hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant. The building was an older building and i though they can do better with maintenance of the primises. The bathroom was small and the tub was very high, you have to be very carefull getting in and out of the tub or you can have a major accident, accessability was very bad. Overall the Hotel was O.K. the breakfast was also just O.K. no variety and every morning was the same stuff, this happen for 7 days. The Hotel is very well located and close to Metro and many fine restaurants.

Great place, well located

Great place to stay. Room was a bit small, shower a bit difficult to get into but always very clean. Breakfast was awesome and the view on the 17th floor was spectacular. The staff was helpful and friendly. They work with you if any issues arise. Very safe neighborhood, lots of restaurants, shops, metro. A place to exchange currency just around the corner. I would have loved to have had a coffee maker inside my room but non the less, enjoyed the place for our short get away.

Plaza El Bosque Park

The Plaza El Bosque Park served our needs. The Hotel's location was almost perfect. Within just 1-2 blocks in any direction you could find numerous and diverse options for dining, entertainment and shopping. The Metro is just 1 1/2 blocks away. I was disappointed that the Hotel did not offer Wifi and the cost of Internet was near $17 USD per day. The room was smaller than I'm accustomed to but the bathroom was gorgeous and the view from the 9th floor was incredible. Their free breakfast was delicous and had numerous options rather than the standard fare. Also, the breakfast is served on the 17th floor and the view of the city of Santiago is amazing.
