Romantic Getaway

I stayed at the hotel during the Easter holiday and i really appreciate the place, location and staff. Some areas of improvements: Breakfast could be improved (there are no many choices and the time is very strict, if you arrive close to the ending time, the options are even less and the staff starts to collect the food even if you are still having your breakfast).

Far out from downtown, but close to public transit and cute French theme

The hotel was a bit off the beaten path, but really cute and the staff was extremely friendly.

Lomit's is a local diner that we stumbled upon while staying here. We loved it. It was a blast from the past and the food really great - a mix of Chilean and German.

A Real Gem

On a recent business trip, my client had booked me into a terrible hotel in the Providencia neighborhood of Santiago. I was desperate to leave it and find another place to lodge but the usual hotel chain properties at which I stay when I travel were fully booked. I found Le Reve on line. As it was very close to where I would be working, and the reviews from previous guests who had stayed there had been so positive, I booked and paid for four nights at Le Reve, sight unseen. From the moment the cab dropped me off at the hotel, I knew I had made a sound choice. It's a beautiful, older building in a great location. It's on a quiet side street, but in the heart of a safe business district and so shopping is readily accessible as are numerous restaurants and bars, plus, it's located just two blocks away from the Pedro de Valdivia Metro station. The furnishings and decor, both in my room and in the common areas are a blend of modern and old world: elegant, classic and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast (included in the rate) was wonderful, as was the room in which it was served. There's also a spacious and lovely patio area in which to enjoy the meal or to rest. The staff was very attentive and catered to my every need, offering a level of personal service that one rarely finds in hotels these days. They not only made me feel very welcome, they made me feel at home. I looked forward to returning to the hotel at the end of each and every day. My room was very comfortable but a little on the smaller side (although it accommodated a king size bed, which I had requested). I had been offered a larger room with a private balcony but on a busier and slightly noisier side of the building, but I chose the more private location so that I could work and sleep comfortably. I was not disappointed. It suited my needs perfectly with the exception of the desk and chair being a bit small (but again, I had chosen the room for other reasons). I would recommend this beautiful property very highly to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable and luxurious getaway spot in the heart of a very dynamic city.

Great dining spot nearby: Liguria. Go for the Pisco Sours and the Picoteo.
