Convenient & friendly staff
Excellent location. Close to everything. Nice pool, but i wish it were heated. Aundre, the bellman, showed us where to go and eat. He was an asset. Staff friendly. I wish the beds were a little more plush or soft. The rooms were a little warm at times despite adjusting the thermostat. I didn't like the $20/day resort fees.

Great Beach
Location is excellent. Beach is fantastic. Crystal clear waters and beautiful sand. Restaurants at hotel are good, but a little pricey, but consistent with everything else on island. Be sure to ask about other possible companies besides the red sail sport for water excursions and activities as others are cheaper and from our experience just as good. We did a captain marvin's tour that leaves from right across the street and had a great time and half the price.

I would recommend this to anyone
Amenities: You could not beat the service and aesthetic qualities of this hotel. Flavored fruit water chilled on ice daily. Beach and pool areas were exquisite. Bar and restaurant were reasonable for Grand Cayman. Location: Located smack in the middle of Seven Mile Beach and away from the George Town. Red Sail Recreation right next door offers everything. Coral reef right of the beach offers excellent opportunities for snorkeling without having to travel. Eats Cafe and Sunshine Grill just across the street proved to be great and reasonable places to get a bite. Make sure to try the pancakes at Eats Cafe. Cleanliness: Rooms were generally clean but could use some bathroom updating, particularly the bathtub and shower. The room got a bit musty so make sure you dry you wet clothes out on the balcony. Staff: Staff was extremely friendly and responsive throughout our week-long stay. Value: Be ready for the service and resort fees at that came to 33.00 CI per night. That's about $40 USD per night. You will not regret staying here!

Great quiet retreat
Our stay at the Westin was so restful and peaceful. Everything was as advertized. Our room was great. The beach is perfect to families with young children. It is the best beach and swimming experience that we've had. The hotel staff are polite and effiicient. The management was new apparently and very conscious of making changes to further improve their clients stay.

Getting Better
Booked into the hotel using an online service. Was pleased to see they are sprucing up the place as it had grown rather tired. Staff was helpful, but surprised when I was billed another $40 for resort charges and taxes on top of what I paid on line. They said that "these charges are not included in what I paid on line and were due when I checked out". Sounds a bit suspicious to me.

Very nice place
The hotel has a great beach and nice pool area. The concierge staff were helpful in finding good restaurants and activities to do. We had a balcony that overlooked the ocean. There were plenty of chairs on the beach. Even the food was good at the beach bar, which isn't always the case. They had a lot of variety of beach-type drinks, although they were a little pricey. There were a lot of kids running around the pool area. The hot tubs were often full of kids playing, which wasn't very relaxing. But overall this was a great place to stay.

Extremely unhelpful hotel
Even though currently a guest at this hotel and wanting to change room - because the window doesn't open, And offering to pay for the difference the hotel will not accommodate this - despite the rooms being available on this site. They say they don't believe it!! Please don't waste your money staying here - I have to be here all week and frankly wish I was home already.

Great location, beach and pool were beautiful
We had a good experience at the Westin. We traveled with our 7 year old and he had a blast at the pool and beach. The rooms are newly updated, not sure if they are completed with the room renovations though. The tile in our bathroom looked dated and the outside balcony was in desperate need for painting. The Westin hands down has the best location on the island. The rooms aren't posh like the Ritz, but they are nice. Free wi-fi in the hotel lobby. Food is pricey, but food is pricey all over the island. Fitness center is small, but does have nice new equiptment.

Just across the street is a cute little place to eat called Eats Cafe - little atmosphere, but the food is good. Walking distance to Sunshine Grill which is a must stop for dinner. Great frozen yogurt place across the street as well.

Definitely disappointed
We were extremely disappointed in our stay at the Westin. We were expecting high quality and instead found an average space. Our room at no hot water, a missing fan blade which made the fan clank at night, and the room was very hot (notice the need for a fan). The bathtub was not totally clean either. We ate at the breakfast buffet and thought the food was great. The service however was poor. They were very understaffed and we constantly had to ask for more food to replace empty bowls. At $50 per couple, I expected more. The pool area was very nice. The beach was beautiful and the location was great! However, this hotel was definitely disappointing and did not meet my expectations.

Long walk from hotel
Walk to the grocery story down the street for breakfast, lunch, and snack items. We also booked an excursion through Discount Excursions and had a great time. We definitely recommend the company!! We did the small individual boats to 3 snorkeling stops. We had a fantastic time and felt like we got a decent deal.
