Will Stay Again...

Free upgrade to an ocean view room because of the great staff they have! Good location, great pool and great beach! Rooms could be a little more modern but the friendly staff makes you want to come back.

Not bad but hidden costs

The trip was great and would have been better if the Hotel didn't try to cover up the hidden costs and was just straight forward with me. It is fine if you are going to charge me something but do not lie or try and hide these costs. It makes the hotel look very bad when I ask for what the additional charges are for the room and they tell me that there are no additional charges. When I got my bill at the end of the week of course then they add $20 a night and another $16 a day for a cleaning fee. So after I have stayed there I have over a $200 additional bill that I was told I wouldn't have when I checked in.

Not a 5 Star Resort

I've stayed in other Westin Hotels and this one just doesn't measure up. There were positives and negatives. The rooms were pretty average, but comfortable and I must say the bed was very pleasant on my back. We didn't start out well because when we checked in a window was broken, as was a sink faucet handle, and the phone and refrige key didn't work. But, maintenance promptly fixed it all. The pool is large and very fuctional for families with kids, but not elegant. The restaurant is nothing special, but the pool bar does a nice job on food, drinks and service. The nicest part is the beach; beautiful water, plenty of lounges and 7 miles of sand. The second nicest part is the live music;a lively bar band around happy hour, folk singer in the early eve and delightful piano player at night. The thing I disliked most was a $20 per day fee for beach towles and use of a mediocre fitness room (4 joggers and 2 bikes).

Does not live up to the Westin Name

Our stay at the Westin was highly disappointing. The location is great, but that's where the positives end. The hotel is a bit worn and simply hasn't been maintained. The staff is just not that accommodating and try to get away with the bare minimum. Finally the web access is shorty at best.

Great beach location

Hotel seems to be a bit overrated but is situated in a great location on Seven Mile Beach. The pool area is on the smaller side but is great for families. The beach area on the other hand is one of the best in that stretch. Rooms are very average, a little small, which may be made up for on the ocean side. DIdn't try the hotel restaurants this time as there are endless options all over the island.

Pretty Hotel, but a little tired..needs updating

The location is perfect..the beach gorgeous and uncrowded. The staff is freindly and helpful. The hotel is pretty, but a little tired. We had a squeaky fan and kind of a dirty balcony. The room was ocean front, but you couldn't see the ocean because of several big palm trees right in the way. The excercise room is not badly equipped, but the machines are old and some in poor repair.
