For sheer elegance in the Caymans, this resort is hard to top

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, an exclusive oceanfront hotel, caters to those who seek an upscale level of relaxation on Seven Mile Beach. The Resort stretches over 144 acres from the Caribbean Sea to the North Sound. The Ritz spared no expense in developing its reputation as the best property on the island, from its stellar beachfront location, to a Greg Norman-designed golf course or full-service Silver Rain Spa, to dinner at Blue, the signature restaurant from Eric Ripert of New York's Le Bernardin fame.

Perfect getaway!!!

My husband and I just returned from our stay at the Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman and we can't wait to return. Staff unbelievable and bend over backwards to help with whatever your needs are. The guys at the front will give you all kinds of good dinner recommendations which we found always lived up to our expectations. The best place to eat was right there at the resort at "SEVEN" Yes it was expensive but eating on the island is more than eating in the states anyway. Next time we will not rent a car. Catch a ride to Georgetown to shop is really the only place you need to go. Other restaurants are walking distance. We met the General Manager and he is great. We snorkled and used a lot of the complimentary equipment right there on the beach at the Ritz. Hands down the best resort in the Carribean.

Really Nice Hotel

They need to modernize some areas. The TV was an old TV, not a flat screen, this is a 5 star hotel. The Spa was dull in color and a little worn. I did not like the idea of them working on the water and sticking a note under my door to inform me while I slept.I woke up to no water. Also, their best restaurant was closed my entire stay, Patrons should have known prior to booking.

Awesome Getaway!!

Ritz is a very nice hotel. I would honestly give the hotel 5 stars but the only thing I was not too happy about is that for the price they charge to stay at Ritz, they should AT LEAST offer complimentary breakfast!!! They do offer coffee or tea but I mean a real breakfast. I believe only 7 prime cuts is open for breakfast among all the restaurants in Ritz. The food at Blue and 7 prime cuts is amazing, no doubt, but we had dinner only; Blue is actually open ONLY for dinner. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are very nice and friendly. The amneties such as the beach front, the pool, all of it is very nice. It is not overly crowded and has the perfect getaway feeling.

The restaurants in Ritz are nice but ofcourse expensive. There are nice restaurants literally 5 minute walk away. Edoardo is one of them but I prefer Copper Falls steakhouse over that. There is an Indian and Chinese restaurant there as well, along with a Fosters supermarket!

First Class

Best service, great location, little pricey-but well worth it! Beach seats ocean front were a little tough to come by after 8am. Overall-I'd book again in a New York second! When booking, be sure to stay ocean side otherwise you will have a bit of a walk.

The Ritz in GC is wonderful

The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman is a really special hotel. The property itself is really beautiful, but it is without a doubt the friendliness of the staff and their desire to make your trip enjoyable that really puts them over the top. The people of Grand Cayman are also very warm and friendly which made the trip that much more special. The food was outstanding. This does come at a high price, so be prepared to not get too worked up about it. You can go to cheaper hotels, but I can't imagine they could be much or any better.
