This hotel is the perfect size and is very nice. Very tropical plaza with large turtle pond. Very comfortable outdoor furniture in the plaza and very comfortable furniture inside. The lobby, lounge, and restaurant are very nice and updated.

Marriott on the Water

Would recommend Wed, Oct 14, 2015
The hotel was very nice and comfortable, great wifi connection, prompt service whenever needed and courteous staff. Great views of the beach, ocean and surrounding areas. Food options on the property were somewhat limited and very pricey (all prices are in euros) with each meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) averaging $65 and up for two people ( a day's meal easily $200 a day if eating on property, gratuities of 16 included in all meals). Daily excursions customer service were very friendly however, one had to look for them as they were tucked in a corner of the hotel. Our room was upgraded to 1st floor walkout to the beach, however, what was not disclosed to us was that our upgraded room downgraded our bed to two doubles vice the king size we had reserved. Furthermore, one could hear everything thru sliding glass door where pool and beach attendees (and very small children) could be heard thru-out the early morning and late night....

Honeymoon

Would recommend Thu, Sep 24, 2015
We stayed for a week, and the room was very clean. The hotel never told we had a $50 voucher every day, so we were left trying to find cheaper places to eat around the hotel. The food was very expensive, and we wish we would have booked an all-inclusive hotel. The beach was very busy, but it was fun snorkeling around the man-made reefs.

A Perfect Vacation Spot

Would recommend Sun, Sep 20, 2015
We stayed at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort from September 6, to 17 this year. We were charmed as soon as we saw the impressive stingray display on the wall of the lobby. Our ocean front room (234) was great. It was furnished with comfort and ease in mind for the guest. The hotel is impeccably clean, the hallways, the elevators, even the emergency stairways, I am a stair climber, not a scrap on its floors. The lobby is furnished with taste that would please the discriminant as well as the Bohemian (hand carved wooden cocktail tables and short stools, large wicker loungers, comfortable sofas, settees and seats ready to lull the bar patrons into friendly conversations.) For those who wish to meditate, or just bemuse themselves with yesterday, today and tomorrow, there is the Zen-like garden with a large flowing pond, live turtles, soothing music, swinging wicker loungers and other soul-fitting furniture. The food at the hotel is good. We did not go anywhere else to eat. The prices were a bit on the high side, but they were so in other places (the sign of the times, we checked a few menus in other restaurants and hotels.) There is one dish at the Marriott that is excellent and warrants special mention, Fish Tacos served at the outside bar by the Veranda. (To make it a great taste experience ask the chef to mix in half jalapeno peppers with its its green pepper garnish). The Marriott staff we encountered made our experience great. It was not the usual corporate white-wash of smiles and nods that made it, ( we saw a lot of it in our travels - make the yo-yos happy so they’ll come back - but the natural warmth of the people themselves. I will mention Howard at the front door, Pablo at the reception desk, the concierge Melanie Alexander, Michael, Ruth and especially Mayank, at the Anchor and Den restaurant. It is people like these make one want to come back for another visit. There are a couple of negative remarks I will end with. The beach property should be expanded, the hotel pool is unimpressive.

Beautiful place to relax!

Would recommend Tue, Sep 8, 2015
Quick weekend getaway from Fort Lauderdale for my wife and I. Quiet, peaceful and slow paced. Water is outrageous and food is excellent both in the hotel and outside of the hotel. Hotel is so well located on 7 mile beach that you are never too far from the action.

Great romantic get away

Would recommend Mon, Aug 10, 2015
We went there for a romantic get away with my wife. The hotel has a great location on 7 mile beach. It is close to town. There are several small restaurants just outside the hotel. We did scuba diving and horseback riding on the beach.

Very decent trip

Would recommend Tue, Aug 4, 2015
A few things about the hotel. Location was perfect, they have lots for the 45.00 day resort fee(wifi, bicycles etc...) but some staff are awesome and some are not so great. I would ask one person for something and always heard sorry I can't help you to go back a few Minutes later to another who said sure no problem. The food was great but pricy but that's ok because it was expected. The two bad things which were awful were the weak 15.00 drinks which I stopped drinking and went and bought a bottle....an extra half shot in each drink and everyone would be happy....worst drinks in any carribean place I have ever been to. Also they don't give change in dollars and nowhere to get dollars. They give you change in only cayman money and was very inconvenient. Overall 3.75/5 stars and can make it 5/5 with these 2 major changes

Fantastic girls trip

Would recommend Wed, Jul 29, 2015
My daughter and I have never been to Grand Cayman. We chose Marriott because of the location and great reviews. It has been recently renovated and did not disappoint. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The lobby was fantastic! Very inviting and great place to eat, have a drink, gelato, or just gather to talk. The beach had great amenities and the best waiter, Neil. I can't say enough about the friendly service from every staff member at the Marriott. They made it such a welcoming resort. I would stay there again. The stingray city tour is a must but would schedule around the cruise ships being in port. It's a great experience but would't want to be there with huge crowds. The hotel helps you with all your excursions. We had a great time!
