In the heart of Old Quebec, Le Saint-Paul Hotel can be considered as one of the most charming inn this city has to offer. Located in a fully restored and renovated XIXth century building, our facility is a comfortable, pleasant and relaxing setting equipped with the latest amenities to make your stay in Quebec unforgettable. You can also take advantage of the Peche Veniel, the on-site restaurant serving a varied menu (under separate management from the Hotel).Le Saint-Paul is ideally situated at the base of the old fortifications and only a short walk from many of Quebec City's famous tourist attractions. The museum of civilization, the maritime museum, the cruise ship terminal and the excursion docks are but a few feet away. You will find the Hotel on the charming St-Paul Street known for its antique shops and friendly cafs in the heart of the Old- Port district just a walk from the majestic St-Lawrence River. The Via Rail train station and the bus terminal (serving all major cities in the province) are also very close by. Quebec City, first French settlement and only fortified city in North America, is world renowned for its unique beauty and charming hospitality. Its fortifications, overlooking the majestic St-Lawrence River, offer a superb vantage point to admire the Isle of Orleans and the Quebec region. Part of the World Heritage sites of UNESCO, its narrow streets and French period architecture will leave the visitor with the souvenir of a part of the Old World in the Americas. From the celebrated Winter Carnival, to the Ftes de la Nouvelle-France (period reenacting) and from the Fireworks Festival at the base of the beautiful Montmorency Falls, to the ever popular music happening of the Festival d'ete, Quebec City, Capital of the Province of Quebec offers a vibrant cultural life in all seasons for all its visitors. Located in the historic district of Old Quebec City.

If you can't have Paris....

...at least you can come to the Sainte Paul! Having been to QC a number of times, staying in souless "econo-hotels" on the outskirts, I decided to try something new. So glad I did. The Sainte Paul is literally 5 minutes stroll from the best Creperie in the city. maybe 10 minutes walk from the citadel, etc. The fun shops of the Old Town are just up the street. Staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly and nice, the room was spotless, quiet, and well appointed -a bathtub to wallow in, plus a shower when you wanted that. Also let me put in a plug for the restaurant (attached) -GREAT food, reasonably priced, range of dishes from Burgers to Poutine, with lots in between (my son said his steak was one of the best ever). Overall one feels like one has really gone abroad. Check this place out! we will definitely be back!

Hotel Sainte Paul

Excellent Hotel. Huge beds. A nice rustic feel within the rooms. Everything clean and crisp. Bathrooms were immaculate. Location is about a 15 min walk from the town centre. Complimentary breakfast is included, which was delicious and in a charming little restaurant. Parking is not included. $15 across the road, per night (beside the gas station). The room was missing a few things - like a fridge or a microwave. Nothing I cared about. I would definitely go back.

Enjoyed our stay

This hotel, while not luxurious, is extremely good value. Beautiful old restored building on the main port thoroughfare - too bad our view was a gas station. The rooms were small but well designed and newly renovated with a great rainwater shower. The location is perfect, close to the train station, market and old Quebec - all is walkable but you are not in the heart of the tourist circus. Great breakfast included in a restaurant setting and nice patio to watch the Quebec citizens go about their daily lives.

Toast! is a culinary adventure, delicious local food creatively prepared though on the pricey side. Make it your special night out.

cozy and kind

Cozy small rooms. Sufficient for a short stay filled with outside activities. Relatively quiet. Restaurant breakfast vouchers are great. Best hotel/included breakfast I've ever had.

Ideal place!

Beautiful building inside and out. Safe parking lot across the street for $14 a day. Our room had a very clean modern feel to it. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. Shower was amazing!! Compact space but good layout. Would have preferred a room not facing the gas station. It could get a little loud over there at night. But I'm picky. Other then that small issue, it was a very quiet, comfortable, clean, pleasant stay. I hope to stay there again next time I visit! Also, great location!!!!

A great weekend!

This is a good hotel within easy walking distance of Vieux Quebec City. The free internet is terrible but that isn't why you go to Quebec City. Would stay there again, for sure. The place is as quiet a hotel as I have ever stayed in.

great location

The hotel is in a great location. It is across the street from the St. Lawrence river and within walking distanc of the walled old city. It is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Great location! The hotel is in good condition. Parking is extra but well situated. The rooms are good and modern decor. Highly recommend the hotel.

A very pleasant and restful stay

The people at the desk were very welcoming and helpful answering all our questions about the vacinity. It was ideal for us and afforded an excellent time away from day to day stresses and a much needed break. My daughter and I both felt is was a place we would want to stay again when we visit Quebec the next time.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There are many fine dining places within walking distance with the menus on the front of the buildings to help with choices. Rue St. Paul itself offers a wide range of selections, including Quebecoise specialties. For good food at a less expensive rate, try also restaurants locals go to such as Ste. Hubert's.
