We noticed this hotel on our visit last year and decided to try it this time around. Not only is this hotel tasteful, clean, and nicely decorated, it had everything that we could have needed for our three-day stay (including a spa, heated pool and an ipod/iphone doc), AND it is in a perfect location for walking to restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff is polite, cheerful, helpful, and eager to make your stay the best it can be. This hotel exceeded our expectations.

Room reservation

On arrival we did not get the room we reserved (2 double beds/king size). On the first night we had to sleep in a very small room with one double bed, and a noisy air conditioner. The rest of the stay was very comfortable.

L'hotel Manior Victoria - Quebec City

We purchased a package through Orbitz for a vacation trip to Quebec City, Quebec to attend the Festival d'Ete Quebec, an annual music festival. This was a particularly important trip for my wife and me, as it was a long-overdue celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary and also a celebration of my successful passage through a dangerous and potentially life-threatening surgical procedure. The airplane flight went without incident, and we arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon to find that we had no reservation. [...]. The hotel itself was just great - it was in the old part of Quebec City, and was comfortable and in great repair, even though it was on the older side. The spa and exercise facilities were great, and the attached restaurant and bar was also very good. The customer service attitude was what made everything better, though - I'll not hesitate to go back to the Hotel Manoir Victoria. [...].

Nice, but a bit overpriced

The Manoir Victoria was nice, there are no specific complaints I have, but it was a bit pricey for what you get. I understand the math (location x demand = price) but when compared to other hotels we've stayed in, particularly Nelligan in Old Montreal (almost half the price) it's a 3 star experience at best. The staff was great, we had an issue with our key that was resolved courteously and efficiently, but I go back to the rooms themselves, and they were only slightly better than Super 8 quality at a Hilton Suite price.

friendly staff and good location

Chose this hotel by reading others' review. Not cheap for a budget traveler. However, staff were friendly. Parking is $20+tax per day with free entry. The room is spacious, beds are comfortable, bathroom is not high-end but clean. Steps to the Notre-Dame, shops and restaurants.

Great experience. Worth the $

After we climbed the steep flight of stairs to the lobby, everything was pretty wonderful. The room was clean and luxurious and the staff friendly and down-to-earth, as well as very helpful recommending restaurants outside the tourist area. Location was ideal in the old city, and the best boulangerie was right across the street. Did not sample the hotel's restaurants because all our breakfasts were at the aforementioned boulangerie. Valet parking is adjacent to the hotel and not ridiculously expensive. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel, staff and location

This was a return trip for our family to Quebec City and we prefer a smaller, well located hotel, which Manoir Victora is, as it is footsteps to area attractions, restaurants, stores, etc. Our room was a good size for three of us (2 dbl beds) and the bathroom was very nice, with double sinks, a shower and jacuzzi. There is a restaurant in the hotel (which we didn't use) and a pool, fitness room (which we did). They took our car when we got there and returned it when it was time to leave, which was a great convenience. The staff is fluent in both French and English and made great suggestions for dining as well as activities, such as the FREE Cirque du Soleil type show and the laser light show (where they offered you 3D glasses). I would recommend and return again to this hotel.

ask the hotel staff or local people. Look for some folks that are there. Choose odd hours to avoid huge crowds. for example, early breakfast, and early supper or late lunch.
