Nice cosy hotel near old town

Well located, within walking distance of old town, near restaurants and antique boutiques, on a quiet street, in front of a local market. Bath robe, nice contiental breakfast delivered to your door every morning, you can enjoy breakfast quietly in your room, simply but nicely decorated, modern, quiet ventilation system and not too dry in the winter, so that you can sleep well without a soared throat!. Lovely place! Friendly and helpful staff, and a decent coffee machine in your room! Would return anytime!

Le cochon dingue Good food at very reasonable prices; try tartiflette and pork osso bucco ; house wine is not bad (the french one, same producer as Le chateau du Grand Caumont)

Almst perfect

A great small hotel. Staff very helpful, and rooms very nice, spacious, and comfortable. Only negatives are parking (in lot across the street - spaces not always available), and breakfast. While it is convenient that it is delivered to your room each morning, it is pretty much the same each day, and not too exciting.

Very pleasant hotel

Excellent interior design and top-notch equipment in room. Very comfortable and pleasant. Elegant restaurant attached to hotel, with excellent service. Keep in mind that there is no normal vehicle access at front door. Your car may have to be driven into alley beside hotel to drop off luggage.

Great Getaway

My wife and I spent 4 nights here in Mid-April. We were able to walk all over Old Quebec, as the hotel is at the foot of the hill. Our room had a king bed.Small but efficient bathroom. Bathrobes and an umbrella were available for use in the room. Breakfast provided in the bag hung on a hook outside the door was filling.

Lovely Experience

We were very pleased. The location is very good - looking out at the water, right at the corner of St. Paul, which has sevceral shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. All spoke English and French. The room was comfortable and quiet, towels were soft and thick, very nice assortment of toiletries, tasty breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Gladly stay there again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

For a truly enjoyable dining experience, go to Panache. Not the run of the mill, chain restaurant. It is great food, great service, and great atmosphere.

Excellent location & friendly staff

Excellent location across the Old Port Market (fruit, pates, bread, cheese, pastries, etc.)and view of the river; within walking distance of most attractions and restaurants, or a bus ride away from the beaux arts museum. Breakfast was good to get you going. The staff was attentive, genuinely friendly, and good humored, with special thanks to Carolie. Room and bath were clean. Towels were changed when asked. Can get a bit noisy with city sounds, but had a sound sleep over-all (we were in 2nd floor facing the back street). Mattress was great for me, not hard enough for companion. Can't miss with restaurants in QC. We especially recommend Cochon Dingue and Lapin Sautee. Beautiful City and friendly people. Quebec has moved to #1 favorite of Canadian cities.

The Vieux-Port Market across the street is wonderful, and so is the boulangerie down the block on Rue Ste. Paul.
