we will never go back ti this hotel

The lobby was being renovated. When we woke up in the morning it was raining in the room ,(I have pictures of it). Tried to talk to the manager and he never showed up . We left around 10: 30am . Recepcion salid that he will contact us ,they are trained ti lie to costumers.it's been 2 months and no call. We paid over 300 for one night. I will never recomend this hotel....baddddd choice.

Meh!

The Hotel Classique was probably pretty cool in the seventies. Now, not so much. The bedspread was very thin (practically non existent), and the bed had only 3 pillows for a double occupancy room. The AC really didn't keep the place cool at all, it just kept the existing air circulating. Fortunately we had a balcony with a screen door and left it open to keep the place cool. The room provided a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker, but we didn't have much use for any of these. One piece of good news is that the hotel claims that you can only get wireless reception from floors 11 & 12, while we could get reception down on the 9th floor. The restaurant in the hotel offers primarily california style pizza, so if you aren't in the mood for pizza or california cuisine, you're largely out of luck. Plus the prices aren't too great, and the Musak leaves something to be desired.

Nice location, nice hotel

I visited Vieux Quebec (Old Quebec) and this hotel was located right off the main highway into the city on the main strip (which becomes Grand Allee-great central entrance into Vieux Quebec). There is even a hospital right down the street. The two hotel restaurants have great food and everyone knows English at the facility so that helps if you ne parlez pas francaise (do not speak french). Also, go online to search for a walking tour map of Haute Ville and Basse Ville (Upper town and lower town of Vieux Quebec) it will really help you figure out the places to go and see.

If your don't want to drive into Vieux Quebec (thus saving yourself a $20 parking tab) you can take the bus and it will drop you off right where you need to be (they have bus routes at the hotel). The cost is $3/way and looks really nice.

Okay Hotel, unfriendly staff

The Hotel overall was okay, very ordinary hotel. Just unfriendly staff, maybe that's the way Quebec province standard. You don't speak French and you are not french, so be it.

looked good

We were very pleased to be able to find a reasonably priced room at short notice in Quebec City. The room was large, had kitchenette and free parking. It was located in St. Foy... convenient for shopping but a 10 minute drive to the old city or lower town. The main issue we had was the maintenance. The room smelled bad and as I am sensitive to mould... it took my sinuses a week to recover from our 2 nights there. If you don't have a problem with mould and smell... this place is a fair value.
