Welcome to Auberge Saint-Antoine! Located in the heart of Qubec City's Old Port and across from the majestic St. Lawrence River, the Auberge is just steps from the fortifications, museums, and bustling streets of the Petit Champlain district. The 95 rooms and luxury suites and 6 conference and reception rooms combine comfort, cutting-edge technology, style, culture, and history to create a unique blend of past, present, and future. More than a boutique hotel, Auberge Saint-Antoine is a window on Qubec City's past. Hundreds of artifacts from both the French and English regimes were discovered during an extensive archaeological dig on the property. In this unique contemporary space, the past has been audaciously re-interpreted for you to savour.

Dining

On site Panache dining room
In July 2004 Auberge Saint-Antoine debuted its Panache restaurant, christened with a name synonymous with originality and elegance. It quickly earned a distinctive reputation on Quebec's gourmet food scene and has since garnered extensive praise, from best new restaurant in Canada to a 2007 Quebec Tourism Grands Prix award. Panache also holds a four-diamond rating from CAA-AAA. Nestled amid stone walls built to house a riverside warehouse in the 19th century, Panache's dining room offers exceptional intimacy and stunning views of the bustling river. The menu is a modern take on traditional Quebec cuisine adapted for discerning palates by the head chef and his staff. It offers local cuisine at its finest, made with the freshest seasonal products. The produce is sourced primarily from the organic garden on Ile d'Orleans and small local producers. The wine list boasts a panache all its own, and includes over 700 different labels from 14 countries.
On site Cafe-Bar Artefact
The second of Auberge Saint-Antoine's restaurants offers another glimpse of the past through historical objects such as the Dauphine Battery and window displays overflowing with objects dating from six different eras. Cafe-Bar Artefact is sure to please even the most discerning of palates. Set against a casual backdrop, it's the perfect place to catch up over a light meal in one of the alcoves next to the bar or tucked into one of the leather easy chairs by the windows. It also boasts one of Quebec City's top cocktail menus. Cheers!

Perfect Hotel For Perfect City

Our room was very comfortably provisioned. We especially enjoyed the Nespresso coffee machine! We had a riverside view and woke up one morning to see that during the night a cruise ship had docked. The bed was a little firm for our taste. The bathroom had a shower/tub arrangement that was spacious and equipped with both an overhead rain showerhead and a wan, both of which could be operated simultaneously. The hotel is located on the lower section of Quebec and was convenient to all of the lower section charm. For $2.50/person you can ride the gondola up to take in all of the charm (and restaurants) the upper side has to offer. We have traveled extensively in North America and can honestly say you would be hard pressed to find a more chrming city than Quebec and a better value in a hotel!

Hotel lobby

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and in Quebec City. It was like a Christmas fantasy. The hotel was great and the staff were so helpful. The only thing that was really odd for such a nice hotel was the lobby floor was never mopped. I know it was snowy and wet outside but It was stained all day and night with the trackings of salt and snow. I would think in this weather and in a hotel of this caliber someone would mop every few hours.

Fabulous Boutique Hotel

Auberge St Antoine is in the best possible location for touring and great restaurants. Originally it was a toss up between the Fairmont and Auberge, but after visiting the Fairmont, the lobby reminded me of Grand Central Station with tons of tourist walking through. The Auberge is located on a side street with a lovely lobby and warm atmosphere. The help couldn't be any nicer. Beautiful dining room too.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Walked the city. Clothing stores reminded me of Haight Ashbury. Not much to buy unless you're looking for mementos. Do stop in to see the oldest grocery store in North America. A real treat. Keep in mind that almost everything is taxed 15%.
