Great hotel
Excellent accommodations. Loved everything about the hotel from the reception staff to the impeccably furnished and clean room. The location is the best. My only comment is that the lobby is not quite indicative of the luxury of this hotel. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Montreal Vacation!
The hotel is lovely and inviting, clean and contemporary. The rooms are sleek; the bedding is exquisite. Floor to ceiling windows give tons of light with great city views. The staff want to please. The only negative comments I can make are that the in-room fees are exorbitant ($17 for an in-room movie.) They have a weird system for the refrig. It is stocked with snacks and drinks, but you cannot put your own articles in it because it has a sensor that detects when you take something out of the refrig and it automatically bills you for it! (i.e., my doggie bag!) Drinks at the hotel restaurant/bar, Renoir, are outrageous---$15 for a draft and $16 for a cocktail. Aside from these minor distractions from the overall wonderful experience, we got a great deal on Orbitz and would definitely recommend it without any hesitation.

Great Location
The location was perfect, being only 1 block from the subway stop. Also, there were a large number of restaurants and shops nearby. The concierges were very helpful and there were no questions that they could not answer.

You'll love everything about it!
Listed as one of two "leading hotels in the world 2007" in Montreal; great location for shopping and dining; wonderful service, modern european-like decor; restaurant and fitness facilities available although we did not experience either; you will be very happy with your stay there; highly recommend

overtraveled nyc
good location, friendly service
hotel was in good shape and room was nice and a good value for the money. however room requested (2 double beds) was unavailable at checkin and front desk insisted that I had booked a room with one king bed (though relented when shown printed confirmation). ended up on a smoking floor, which had an overpowering smell of tobacco.

Nice Touches
While the room was small, you know you are in for a treat as soon as you walk in the door and see your bed. The quality of the linens was superb, making for a good night of sleep. The room included other nice touches. For example, the bathroom was well done and a digital thermostat allows you to control the temperature of the room with precision. They put me on the third floor facing the street, but I heard no noise. I would recommend this hotel.

The room missing coeffee maker
The coffee maker in the room is very important. IT was a hassle and expensive to order from room service many times a day. The fees added to room service menu prices is very very high.

Best Hotel Centre Ville!
Sofitel is my favorite Centre Ville Montreal hotel and I've never had a less than superb experience. However, Orbitz' price, plus an affinity club upgrade, made this trip especially memorable. And the doorman chased us into the rain to provide complimentary umbrellas.
