Fantastic Stay

We were attending a conference and the conference center was right across the street. We couldn't have been any closer! The staff was friendly and courteous and the room was very pleasant with a view of the city from the 18th floor. On the weekend a refreshing beverage was set out for guests to enjoy after coming back from their time away from the hotel. One day it was lemonade and the next it was iced tea with lemon flavoring. We had comfortable beds and a very large glass enclosed shower in our room. The restaurant had the best food! I ate 2 breakfasts there and both I would recommend. I had an omellette one day and crepes with fruit another. Yum, yum! We ate lunch on the day we left and I had a nice Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. I guess I am not travel savey, so I will recommend that you realize you are supposed to tip the cab driver, the maid, and the doorman who gets the cab for you and carries your luggage to the cab. The hotel is close to the Notre Dame Cathedral, and Old Montreal (for shopping), and the river waterfront. We attended a free festival about 6 blocks away one night. I would recommend this hotel!

Chinatown is nearby and they have an array of interesting restaurants as well. I would say it was only 2-3 blocks away.

Soft & Comfy

Le Westin was so new that it didn't appear in our guidebook published in 2011. Indeed it felt like a soft opening, in that things felt a bit unfinished. There was nothing overtly lacking. Our room was comfortable and spacious (we upgraded to the deluxe). There was complimentary wi-fi, multiple outlets at the desk for the digitally inclined, and an alarm clock dockable with your iPhone. The food was tasty and showcased local flavors. The house cocktails were inventive, and having fancy trail mix and cheese plate options for bar snacks had us munching away. No doubt, the service was friendly, attentive. Everyone from the desk staff to the valet to the maid seemed genuinely interested in making our stay a comfortable one. It was just every now and then, there were little holes in the ambiance. A lobby corner could have used a flower arrangement. A wall was begging for art. The late night room service menu could have used some hot food options. Location was great in the heart of Old Montreal. We were blocks from Notre Dame and the Old Port. Downtown shopping and the gay district were 15 minute walks each.

Mozza was good fun, good Italian fare. Bring your own wine! (It's seems fairly common in Montreal - and no corkage.)

Good business hotel

I got a brilliant deal on [...]which meant that for the price this was an excellent hotel. I had a huge room with two double beds. The decor was nice but nothing special and the room overlooked another part of the hotel. the shower was nice enough. I thought the breakfast was expensive if you weren't going to have a full buffet breakfast - there are cafes nearby which offer bagels etc at a quarter of the price.there was a pool and gym which i didnt have time to use, although they seemed popular. All in all though, a nice hotel with friendly staff and excellent value if you get a good deal.

Great Stay

Went on a road trip across the east coast. This was by far the best and most affordable, given the quality of the stay. It would have been nice to have breakfast included, but the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms were justified by the price.

This is a superb hotel. Very well

This is a superb hotel. Very well located near old Montreal. Valet is reasonable at 26 per day. You can park at garage opposite for slightly less. The room is exceptionally clean and big. This was a great, great hotel. Everything about it is perfect. Make sure you visit Olive and Gourmando, a nearby bistro for brunch or lunch. You can't book so just rock up.

Solid hotel

Short lines, fast service, good coffee, good restaurant, but the best part was that it was right at the border of Old Montreal and downtown, so you can walk almost anywhere.

Great Location Stellar Service

This was a fantastic Westin experience. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were spotless, quite and comfortable and the location was excellent. It is convenient to the Metro, walkable to Jazz Fest, in the Old City, but still close enough to walk to downtown and other neighborhoods. 20-30 somethings may enjoy the neighborhoods of Plateau Mont-Royal or Quartier Latin slightly more, but I don't think you'll find a hotel of this caliber in those areas. Simply hop on the metro for about 10 minutes or, if the weather is nice, walk 15-30 minutes. Would absolutely stay here again the next time we go to Montreal.
