great location in a beautiful city

The purpose for our trip was to send my daughter on a Semester At Sea leaving from the Montreal port. This hotel was the perfect location-very close to the pier and also close to the pedestrian shopping area. The hotel staff was stellar, especially Jennifer. We had a lost luggage issue which Jennifer handled beautifully for us. She consistently offered suggestions for places to go and things to do (as did all of the other staff member that we asked) We would definitely return to this hotel!

Great location and quiet hotel

Le St. Sulpice in Old Montreal was a great hotel. My husband and I went for a long weekend July 8th and found the room to be clean and comfortable. We had lunch in the courtyard. The waitstaff was friendly and the food was excellent (the wine was great too). As for location, it couldn't be better. The rooms were quiet and the hotel was close to good restaurants and attractions. All in all, it was an excellent experience.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Breakfast and lunch at Olive et Gourmando is excellent. It's a short walk from Le St. Sulpice. The sandwiches and baked goods are wonderful! But it is closed on Sundays.

The last word in luxury

We read the reviews in advance of our stay in Montreal, where we were attending the F1 Grand Prix race, and the reality exceeded the excellent reviews posted for this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room and en-suite bathroom were of superior quality, comfortable, immaculately clean, the breakfasts were excellent and the service friendly and efficient. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this quality hotel, for accommodation, service, food and location. We almost didn't want to leave it!

Perfect Vieux Montreal location

Extremely pleasant hotel with generous sized room or small suites (where I stayed). Very pleasant patio dinning area (a little expensive though) with excellent food. St. Sulpice is located only 3-400 meters from the beautiful Basilica de Notre Dame, the Vieux port, the cobbled street eating places, and Place Jacques Cartier. Couldn't be better.

Fabulous Hotel

We loved this hotel. We went over New Year's and it was cozy and home-y, with large rooms/suites, big comfy bed and wonderful cozy fireplace. The lobby was decorated nicely for Christmas, and the staff were mostly helpful. The only complaint was that our room wasn't ready when we checked in, but it was only about 30 min till it was ready. The hotel is perfectly located in Vieux Montreal, on the same block as Notre Dame. We were extremely happy with our choice!

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Everyone says to go to Schwartz's deli for the best Montreal smoked meat sandwich -- but we didn't have time to stand in the long line, and went across the street to "Main" where we had the DELICIOUS sandwich special that tasted just as great to us! Go there if you don't want to wait.

Stunning. Romantic. Staff, from

Stunning. Romantic. Staff, from Bellhop to Concierge, was professional, attentive, helpful, but, never intrusive. The room was like an apartment redone by an architect in the Marais district in Paris, windows swung wide to the street below inviting in the sounds and life of the city. What a great place to stay, for a day or a week!

Modern, clean, cant beat the location!

The hotel is directly in the old city with all the cobblestones and European charm. Restaurants, bars, museums and the harbor are right there. Our room was clean, spacious and with modern appliances. Like a little apartment. Separate bedroom, cozy living area with a gas fireplace and flat screen TV.

Very nice, classy employees. Employees were very attentive. As we arived by car, the employee walked to curb and opened car door and welcomed us as our vehicle came to a stop.Employees opened door and greeted you with a smile. Took cab to casino, 5 minute ride, employee said cab ride was the way to go...it was...no driving or parking my own car. Lots of restaurants near hotel...great location.
