Had a fantastic stay at Le Relais Lyonnaise. Hotel is in a great location on St. Denis Street, with fun restaurants and pubs within steps. Nice, clean, modern well-appointed rooms with thoughtful surprises for the guests. Strongly recommended for a romantic get-away weekend. This is a small hotel, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. St. Denis street gives a real locals taste of Montreal, fun, vibrant and welcoming. If you are looking for a generic place to stay, and are a "Lets visit Montreal, stay at the Sheraton and go to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner", then this is not the place for you.

"Great small boutique hotel"
This little boutique hotel (only 7 rooms) is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Great bistro downstairs, which is included for breakfast. Albert is super friendly and helpful with recommendations for dinner. Our room #301 was spotless and totally updated, with a little private balcony. It felt like we had our own small apartment. Only "negative" is that it's a 3 story walkup to the room. If you're reasonably fit and don't have too much to drink it should be no problem. Very cool experience if you're into the small boutique hotel way of traveling.

book the body shop first
The hotel was quite difficult to find on St. Denis. There was no parking near the hotel to check in, and our car was damaged on the street during dinner. There needs to be specific info on parking in the pre-check in package. We wouldn't stay there again.
