Le Nouvel Hotel and Spa

The hotel is a close walk to Ste Catherine Street where a wide variety of restaurants (Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Italian , etc) are available. Just 3-4 minutes walk to Guy-Concordia Metro station where you can catch the subway to any other places of attraction. The Jean Coutu on Ste Catherine was excellent if you need something fast. A little convenience store right across the street from the hotel also provides fresh made deli sandwiches for a quick snack or even cheaper breakfast.

Great location in Montreal for shopping and going out at night, just but don't expect luxury. Very clean, try to get a room as hight as possible to reduce street noise.

The location is ok. Check-in counter [...] was friendly and professional but the lady in the parking booth was nasty and the parking fee seems to be a little bit high (15$/24hr). Neighbor rooms were very noisy. This hotel seems has no security allowing multi rooms partying making a lot of noises. You could hear knocking of doors around 2 to 3 AM. If you want to party... this is the hotel but if you want good night sleep, better look for another hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was ver friendly at the front desk and at the restaurant. The location its excellent!

Pros: Very large room, well equipped (desk, chairs), no refrigerator, though. Prime location in downtown Montreal. Cons: You have to pay for spa, and pool which by the way are closed when you need it. Overall based on price/location was a good choice.

Good for the money. Check-in receptionist was very unfriendly, bathroom/shower was disgusting, $15.00 to park?, hotel had a skeezy criminal feel to it. On the positive side the hotel was about a block walk from St. Catherine St and the best around for the price.

La Nouvel Hotel and Spa was just wonderful. The staff could not have been more accomodating to us. Convienient to everything, within walking distance and a very safe area. I would definately suggest the La Nouvel Hotel and Spa to everyone, and again , the front desk staff esp.,were just wonderful to us.

I stayed at Le Nouvel the weekend of 9/19/08. I was pleasantly surprised when i arrived. Nice staff (many other comments said the contrary), clean room, comfortable but firm bed, clean bath products, good cable, and a remarkably quiet room as it was well insulated from street traffic. The only couple of complaints were the very loud AC unit cutting on & off as well as a leaky shower head. Both considered minor for the price i paid. Nonetheless, i would rank this hotel as a worthy 3-star, but clearly not a 4-star in my book. The location was not near old town, but sufficiently close to the metro not to matter. it was very close to cresent street, the hub of nightlife and restaurants. I would stay at this hotel again for the same price, but not much more.

Le Nouvel was in a great location. Easy walking distance from St. Catherine's shopping, dining, entertainment, etc. Also, easy access for walking to Old Montreal or the use of the subway and bus transportation. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my family and friends if they visit Montreal.
