weekend getaway
this hotel was great for its value. it was conveniently located and clean. the only downside was the fact that their service was kind of slow. we asked for a change of sheets and pillow cases and only the sheets came. we called again but nothing. other than that, it was fantastic.

Once Again
Once again I found my stay at the Hotel Le Nouvel a good value. The location for my needs being in walking distance to downtown and McGill University a great help. As many times as I can I will stay there.

Good hotel...
I stayed for two nights at Le Nouvel. I drove to Montreal from NJ and the hotel was very easy to get to from the highway. It's also located a short walk to a Metro station and close to Saint-Catherine Street, which has great shopping and places to eat. The room itself is quite large, as is the bathroom, which had Neutrogena products. There is also a safe in the room. The hotel has underground parking for $15.00 per day. I didn't have any interaction with the staff other than check-in and check-out and both went very smoothly. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Good location, but the hotel is quite old.
Good location, but the hotel is quite old. Daily parking is 15/day, which is more expansive than other parking lots nearby.

Horrible place to be in
There was drainage issues. Water was stuck in the sink. The room had a bad smell. The entire floor was smelling bad. Looked like never been cleaned before. We had to move out of the hotel the next day.

Decent location, don't expect 4 star though
I would only recommend this place if you really can't afford another $20 a night to get a nicer place, I wish I had It was a hotel room, large sure, but that's about it. The room smelled very musty the whole time. Shower/tub leaked every time we had a shower.

Not a 4 star
This is wrongly categorized. It was fine for a 2 or maybe 3 star, but in no way a 4 star - and the staff even said it was not a 4 star, so Orbitz is wrong. Very disappointing. I will be calling Orbitz to see what they can do about it.

Clean, Convenient, Friendly
Although it is on a major street, it is quiet and comfortable. Convenient to shopping and many small places to eat. Staff was competent and quick to accommodate requests.
