Great hotel, lovely room, helpful staff
This hotel is one of the nicest hotels i've stayed at in Montreal. The staff were really friendly and the room was great. I didnt get to use the gym or pool. The only gripe I have is that I wish the wifi was free - although there is a business centre.

Great couples weekend
I highly recommend the club level. We got free drinks and food from 5-7 pm which basically paid for the upgrade itself. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was smaller than I thought but the view was amazing. Perfect location. I will definitely stay there again

Great for a short stay!
Hotel is great value and great location to Old Montreal and St. Catherine street. The lobby has a great feel and wonderful bar and restaurant downstairs. The room itself is not as comfortable and trendy as other InterContinental's I have stayed in before. The bed itself not the most comfortable, but the room was clean and spacious.

Beautiful Hotel
We had a nice experience! The hotel lobby and restaurant were beautiful. The check in and out was very easy and fast. The room was beautiful and current. The only complaint I have is the coverlet at the end of the bed and the decorative pillow case cover did not appear to be clean. The bed was very comfortable though and the room overall was very nice. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant hotel on Sunday was very good and if you don't have a voucher it's $23 per person. The location is great and very close to other nice hotels where you can dine or drink!

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
The tax rate is high, I believe around 15% and the US dollar is not worth as much as the Canadian dollar. Everyone takes major credit cards and most places will take US dollars but will give you Canadian money in change.

15 dollars charge for wifi is outrageous
This hotel is very comfy and is located at walking distance to many great venues. Staffs were well educated and courteous. Hotel Policy I did NOT like, We were charged 15 dollars a day for internet usage. we may have gotten billed twice of that (per device?) this must be a mistake, I'm calling them to clear this up. Refrigerator charge, if you take their stock out and put your own stuff in, even if don't consume any put stock items back in to the refrigerator, you'll get automatically charged. this charge was later taken off the bill but, i did not like the policy. Overall, I'd probably go back to this hotel. though I'd love to still explore other options. I've stayed in OMNI hotel Montreal as well. I also almost equally liked the Hotel. Intercontinental is better if you want to walk to the Old Town.

Close to everything !
This hotel is an easy and quick walk to the beautiful streets and sights of Old Montreal, Chinatown, and shopping on St. Catherine street. The room is just as advertised online and is quite stylish and comfortable. Additionally, the hotel staff members were professional and the concierge crew, outstanding.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There are so many parks in Montreal. Save money by stopping into a small sandwich shop, packing a simple lunch and eating in one of the many beautiful parks. The taxes (about 15%) make Montreal a bit expensive, so you'll save money and have a chance to enjoy the wonderful outdoors.

Downgraded, Locked Out, Overcharged
When we first checked in, we were informed that despite having reserved and pre-paid for a king room, there were none available. We were put in a room with double beds that the gentleman claimed was actually an "upgrade" because it was bigger and nicer. It seemed to be exactly the same as every other standard room in the hotel. The next night, after a long day of sight-seeing, we arrived back at our room after midnight to find that neither of our keys worked. We went down to the lobby, where the woman apologized and reactivated our cards. When we got back up to the room, once again they didn't work. We again went to the lobby and the woman requested security meet us at our room to reset the lock on our door. When we went back up, security was there waiting and got us into the room. Moments after entering our room, our phone rang and it was the manager on duty informing us that we had actually be purposely locked out of our room because the hotel did not have a credit card on file. Meanwhile, a credit card HAD been given at check-in. The manager apologized to us and explained that sometimes staff forgets to save the information after swiping the card. However, I feel it was incredibly bad business that we were locked out of our room on purpose because of a mistake one of their staff members made. As for the comfort of the room, the thermostat continually reset itself to a very stuffy 70 degrees every few hours, which made for very uncomfortable sleeping conditions. After checking out of the hotel, I discovered that my credit card had been charged $99.70 for incidentals instead of the $42 shown on our check out receipt. That is still being disputed. Would absolutely not ever stay at this hotel again.
