Hotel During Osheaga
The hotel was on strike during our stay so all the amenities were closed. The staff was not the friendliest but it couldn't have been the tension from the strike. The rooms were not what you would expect coming from the hotel lobby. It looked beautiful but the rooms were really dated and there was no cleaning of the rooms while we were there. We had to call for garbage changes and clean towels but we called and they came. :) The location was AMAZING!! Across the street from the metro and walking distance to everything.

AVOID! AVOID!! STAFF ARE ON STRIKE!!!
Wanted to stay somewhere a little nicer in Montreal while in town for the Osheaga music festival. The pool and other amenities like complimentary breakfast were the deciding factor for staying here instead of much cheaper options like "Hotel Osheaga". I was not notified or given any indication that the staff had gone on strike until I arrived at check-in. Due to the strike the pool was closed, our room was never serviced over the course of 4 days, we had to call downstairs everytime we needed more towels, and the included breakfast was terrible. Even though the services provided were not as promised, they still refused to offer any partial refunds and instead offerred complimentary wifi as a courtesy. They have a promotion running on foursquare for free wifi so it would have been free anyway. DON'T STAY HERE!!!

Hyatt is losing its luster
We have stayed at the Hyatt while attending the Grand Prix, and have always enjoyed the location as well as seeing which team is staying there. We have always enjoyed excellent service and a pleasant stay. This time, there was no concierge, the bartenders were persnickety about allowing glass on the terrace, the breakfast wait staff was too busy to notice you, the check-in clerk told us that an outdoor music festival going on all weekend would end at 10 PM each night (we were on the first floor - the music blared until midnight each night),[...]. We are done with the Hyatt.

Montreal Get-Away
This hotel definitely needs some updating. The rooms were comfortable, but nothing special. The bathroom was showing a good deal of wear-and-tear (wallpaper peeling) and there wasn't any exhaust fan in the bathroom either.

Inadequate Staff Training
During the 2009 Montreal Jazz Festival I found myself with time to visit the bar, which appeared to be very nice, while I waited on some friends to arrive. However, getting someone to come over to one of the many tables to offer service was nearly impossible. The hotel lost a great deal of revenue by not properly training/supervising the bar's staff.

nice place, needs more help
This hotel is well located and nicely appointed. They could have used additional staff. There was no concierge which we had expected.

A mixed bag
We were up for the night with another couple. The location was great and easy access to the underground city(malls). The staff was very friendly but concierge was not available. We needed information on restaurants and it wasn't there for us. The pool hours were 10-6 pm which was not convenient. We waited for 10am(sunday) but it did not open.No hot tub was a minus as well. The rooms were adequate but stay away from the elevators...very noisy.
