Good value in a central location

We paid a bit more for the panoramic view room and it was well worth it! Our room was very spacious with a convenient kitchenette and an amazing view of Chinatown and Old Montreal. The hotel is nicely situated between Chinatown, downtown, and the Latin Quarter, making it a very walkable location. We used their valet service - it was only a few dollars more than the large parking complex down the street and was much more convenient. Overall, this hotel is a good value - well priced for a comfortable bed and room in a great location, but without a bunch of extra amenities.

Hip hotel in a good location

The hotel is very conveniently located on the border of the old town, business district and Latin Quarter. Walking distance to everywhere, St Catherine is just two blocks away, Chinatown with great food just across the street, 10-15 minutes walk from Gay Village. Staff was nice, the room though small, was very clean and well planned. Decor minimalistic, but had everything we needed.

Nice hotel, odd area

Hotel was modern and clean. My room overlooked a park with actively using heroin junkies that yelled all night long.

Centrally located to all points of interest.

Overall the hotel is a good deal. Close to many of the main attractions and on the 747 bus stop to and from airport TRU. The hotel is clean and accommodating staff. Very hip vibe and stylish boutique hotel. The main drawback to note are the elevators are very slow. Two elevators on either end of hotel and I was on upper floor. The wait could take up to ten minutes coming or going so you had to calculate that into your exit strategy. It seems the staff used both elevators for housekeeping and maintenance issues and that tied up elevators. Perhaps management should instruct staff to use only one elevator or stairs as to not inconvenience guests. There is a park behind hotel that tends to attract drifters and panhandlers. They were harmless but could make some travelers uneasy.

Seedy neighborhood, weird hotel, modern look

Very modern looking hotel that seems like it's been supplanted in a warehouse. Friendly staff and nice rooms. Tiny deck and business center. Odd layout.

Check out Lawrence, Dieu du Ciel, and The Candi Bar, all in the nearby Plateau neighborhood. If you can get in to Joe Beef, do it.

Fantastic location, excellent service

This hotel is ideal for anyone interested in exploring the city and its attractions (every major landmark is within walking distance, and there is no shortage of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby). The staff is friendly and efficient, and the entire hotel has a "hip" and functional feel (ideal for a short stay). Valet parking is pricey, and there is a palpable tension between the attached restaurant and the hotel (which becomes quite evident if you decide to take the "breakfast option"). Also, the fitness studio is limited and "claustrophobic". In spite of these shortcomings, our stay was pleasant and we are planning to return.
