Not too value

Would recommend Mon, Jan 5, 2015
It is an historic hotel in old Montreal. Good location. We feel that it is too expensive for the value. Bad mattress.

Business Trip

Would recommend Fri, Sep 19, 2014
The hotel was more than expected. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only hiccup was that my business partner was charged for his room on his own card, that we now have to work to get off.

One Night Stay

Would not recommend Mon, Aug 25, 2014
Great room. Not much else to the hotel. Valet was confusing. There is no sign or room to pull up. The valet is really just the main entrance, but often there is no one standing there for assistance and cars parked in front of the building. The restaurant attached looked nice, although we did not eat there. Its in a great location. Not sure I would stay again based on price and lack of other hotel amenities.

Super sweet deal for schmancy stay

Would recommend Wed, Jul 9, 2014
The posted price for rooms at the St Paul was three times what I paid for my trip, and it's worth it! Our room had a weird, rustic-modern sexy vibe, if that's a thing. Sumptuous bed and pillows, huge tub (no dry islands of skin!), extremely attentive staff, location close to a metro stop. Would absolutely book again.

Great time in Old Montreal

Would recommend Mon, Oct 15, 2012
From the moment we arrived until the moment we left (both moments made fun and easy by the well dressed, easy going doorman) we had a great time. The modern stylin' decor is a great contrast to the fine old building housing the hotel. There is a great bar on the first floor. Breakfast was good. The room had dark wood floors and soft lighting. When we got off the elevator he hallway was moody and sexy with red lights. I especially liked the salt block light in our room. The bed was very comfortable and the room climate easy to control. We repeatedly walked the couple kilometers of restaurants, bars, galleries and shops around the hotel; it was great fun. We had good food at three area spots. Good times at the Red Piano on Saturday night. Jazz pianist and then a jazz/rock group. I spend maybe seventy nights a week in hotels in Asia, the US and elsewhere; some are much more expensive and some much cheaper. I would stay in this hotel at any opportunity. Also, everyone in the area spoke beautiful, fluid French. I don't. My wife does. Everyone we met cheerfully

Entertainment hint

B0ucherie Charcuterie on a corner maybe four blocks from the hotel had a wonderful afternoon menu. Closes at five. I had the cassoule. Great stuff. Good cheap bottle of wine. Warm, cozy and snug.
