Weekend in Montreal

Perfect spot to tour galleries, enjoy nightlife / restaurants. Very close to McGill University. Rooms large and comfortable - beautiful marble bathroom with one of the greatest mirrors i have ever seen in a hotel - bath linens were sumptuous. Lobby bar and small resto were excellent. Will stay at the Omni again.

Nice hotel

Hotel was very nice and was in a good location, close to the metro, shopping, restaurants...etc. The only complaint that i had was that we had the corner room facing Peel street and there is a disco on that street that was very noisy! If you can, ask for a room facing the mountain side.

Staying in a hotel... AT HOME!

So I recently went back home to Montreal to visit old friends and show one of my new friends where I grew up. The Omni was perfect, located on rue Sherbrooke. We were walking distance from all the great shopping on rue Ste. Catherine, a short distance from the McCord Natural History Museum, rue Crescent (where you can have the yummiest Italien dinner @ Wienstein & Gavino's and a cafe at Nespresso). The hotel staff was more than helpful, even offering you an umbrella when its raining. And its a perk to be an Omni rewards member because we got free we-fi in the room as well as une carafe du cafe avec lait and jus d'orange which were complimentary. Definitely a great hotel.

Everything we were looking for

The fitness center is awesome, as is the large bathroom and the shower's water pressure. The hotel itself is fairly standard but it is in a great, central location and perfectly fit the bill for our trip. The only annoyance is the $11/day wireless charge. You can easily get around it by signing up for the preferred guest program but they require all of your contact information and I have a feeling I'll be receiving more than my share of junk mail.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Our best day in Montreal was the day we rented bikes and rode the city's amazing bike trails. Very easy and very fun.

Home away from Home

My daughter & I meet in Montreal at least once a year for the family reunion. Although we stayed at other hotels, the Omni is our hotel of choice. Everything is perfect, close to so many shopping/restaurant options. The staff is great. The Concierge is very friendly & knowledgeable.

Excellent location in Montreal...

Stayed at the Hotel Omni Mont Royal on a Friday-Monday in mid September. I was very nervous after reading lots of bad reviews on the hotel in relation to outdated decor and rooms. Much to my delight the reviews were off-base and wrong. The lobby is very nice with classic decor. The rooms looked like they belonged in a B&B. Very homely and comfy yet furnished very nicely. Rooms were immaculately cleaned and the view of downtown Montreal from our top-floor room was amazing. Staff was very friendly and spoke both French and English. The spa seemed very nice and didn't seem as expensive as other hotel spas I've seen. The location of the hotel is very good-only 2-3 blocks away from all the action yet not in the middle of it all. Concierge very helpful and always at your call-taxis always available outside front door. I would recommend this hotel to a friend. The only downturn is the hotel doesn't have much going on in terms of entertainment. The lobby bar is very small and was always quiet-not much happening. Not a big deal though as there were plenty of places to go nearby.

No need to take taxis-all action nearby. Enjoy the short 2-3 block walk to all the happening streets(Crescent was the best!).
