Great Location

The best part of the hotel stay was the location. We walked everywhere, but also took advantage of the Metro and bus station - each about a block away. We took the bus from the airport and also took the bus to Quebec City for the day. Old Montreal and China Town are close to the hotel and there are lots of cool places to shop and eat on St. Denis - one block over. The hotel room had a mini bar which was great to store snacks in. There was a computer kiosk in the lobby which was very cheap to use to get on the internet. The staff was alway friendly and very helpful in giving us directions, plus were able to exchange American cash for Canadian.

Juliette & Chocolat - a cafe/creperie/chocolate bar. You have to try their Chocolate fondue with fruit!! 1615 rue St. Denis. Few blocks from the hotel. Little Italy and its Marche Jean-Talon is an amazing and huge farmer's market. Its a long walk or you can take the Metro orange line to the Jean-Talon stop.

Good hotel

This was a lovely hotel, well situated - a block from the Metro and the pedestrian zone. The staff were courteous and helpful. It would have been helpful to have had in the advertising that parking is usually unavailable in the hotel (perhaps if one reserved parking ahead of time?) but good parking was available in the lot next door. The restaurant was very good, if pricey. I would go back to this hotel.

As always-Great Hotel!

This hotel is great for me since it is close to a metro and close to Old Montreal. I have been coming to this hotel for over 5 years and the staff is the best around, always friendly and willing to help any way they can. Some rooms are smaller than others and it is a real treat to get the larger rooms. I am not sure what can be done about the parking situation-which I say is the only negative at this hotel.

Great Location

The Lord Berri Hotel was in an ideal location for our vacation stay. It was only a block to the central Metro station and a few blocks from Old Montreal and the central district. It was very comfortable and the one problem that we had (the air conditioner broke) was fixed right away.

For great breads and pastries of all types, try the little artisan bread shop around the corner on Saint Catherine.

Great location

The Hotel Lord Berri was comfortable and attractive. The location is right in the heart of the Old Quarter, steps away from the Metro and the bus station, making it easy to enjoy all the tourist attrations in Montreal. The hotel restaurant is outstanding and a real treat. Don't miss eating out on the patio. Everything is homemade. We enjoyed an all you-can-eat mussells dish with fantastic wine and wonderful atmostphere. We hope to come back again soon.

Don't miss the Old Pier, only 3 blocks away. There is a wonderful promenade for walking and bicycling. One can rent bycicles and paddle boats. There is also the Montreal Science Center, Imax theatre, Bonsecour basin, river cruises, and riding the Lachine rapids (fantastic!). Great for the whole family.

Hotel Lord Berri in Montreal, Canada

The room was very nice, and clean. I especially liked that there was a mini-fridge in the room, and that the internet was free and easy to set up. The shower was AMAZING! The only complaint I had was that the HVAC unit was very noisy, but the temperature in the room was okay so I didn't ever turn it on.I often spent my evening in the hotel restaurant. While expensive, the food was very good, the beer selection was great, and the staff were very friendly and courteous.[...]

great location

The Lord Berri hotel is conveniently located near Rue Ste-Catherine, where the Jazz festival, and also an art festival were taking place when we were visiting Montreal. The hotel was within walking distance to everything in the old Montreal area. The check-in was painful, partly because it was very late (1 AM), it took a while, and we finally did, a much smaller room than expected. It was very clean and well equipped for our weekend trip (queen bed, fridge, TV, clean bathroom). The customer desk rep. was friendly and courteous, but it was very helpful to be able to talk French. The restaurant owner and servers were bilingual, and very friendly. There was no pool, but the weather being on the cool side during our stay, it was not really missed. Overall a great place to be staying.
