Awesome Spot in Downtown Montreal

Great hotel in downtown Montreal... Can't beat the location right next to Berri-Uqam for all Metro stops. They have very limited parking, but luckily there are other options for around $13 a night next to the hotel!

Decent Hotel, Good Price

This place has mixed reviews so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty clean and comfortable. The rooms are old but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was pretty great. A lot of place are walking distance and one of the major metro stops is half a block away- from that metro stop you can get anywhere easily.

A weekend with the Girls

My friends and I stayed at the Hotel Lord Berri for one night while celebrating my birthday. The hotel staff was very helpful during check in and when we needed to receive a cab. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The room included a closet, a nice sized bathroom, desk two double beds a built in bench an a very nice view. The only problem was that the windows do not open but the sound protection was amazing, we never once heard traffic. Also we had a nice view of Notre Dame from our 5th floor room. The hotel it self was very clean and close to everything we wanted to be near. A short cab ride to the bars and steps away from beautiful old Montreal. We will definitively be staying here again. Our only problem the entire trip was the parking available for the hotel only offered a 10 dollar lot where you leave your keys or 20 dollar parking in the garage of the other hotel.

Spectacular Montreal Getaway

This is a nice hotel located only a few minutes walking distance from the Gay Village, and about a 10-minute walk to Vieux Montreal. Also, the bus to and from the airport is only two blocks away (Main Bus Station) and costs only $8 in each direction. No need to waste money on the $38 cab fare!

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

I always enjoy getting to know a city on a bike. By all means, rent a bike (there's a bike shop in Vieux Montreal called Ca Roule) and take the Canal de Lachine route along a canal, returning via the Parc des Berges, which takes you along the Saint Laurent River. About 15 miles roundtrip. Spectacular trip if the weather is nice.

Fair at best

The hotel was passable but had a lot of room for improvement. There were lots of cracks in walls and tears in wallpaper and such that made the place look a little bit rundown. Though we'd reserved the room one month ahead of time, we were placed right along the stairwell and could hear every footfall of anyone who chose to use it. Some of the lights in the room didn't work and though the staff immediately came and "fixed" the problem, as soon as they left we realized it was because the wall outlet was loose and wouldn't hold the light cord. Though staff were helpful a couple of times when they were directly asked a question, no one ever greeted us or even acknowledged us when we came or went. Also, there were no amenities at all (no pool/gym/continental breakfast). It's not really that cheap. Next time, I'd cough up the extra $100 for 3 nights and stay at some place a little bit nicer.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Montreal has great setup where you can rent bikes by the half hour at any one of the metro stations. Since the city is mostly flat, you can use a bike to get just about anywhere and can return the bike to any metro station. This is a great way to see more of the city than you can on foot or by riding around underground

The good and Bad

I was very disappointed to find no parking available at the hotel or the lots close by. Had to drive for blocks to finally find a parking location. Then was lost and walked for 30min.s trying to find the hotel again.
