The hotel was fine and reasonably placed for restaurants and amenities. The staff were consistently helpful and pleasant. Not included in the room price, but the breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Room clean and comfortable. Overall, well recommended

Spent 2 nights in this hotel with my parents on a first visit to Montreal - I am 63 so you can guess they are a little older. Staff consistently helpful throughout. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Great coffee machine and well located for the Old Port and Latin Quarter. Can only recommend highly.

my Canada trip

Would recommend Sat, Aug 29, 2015
Overall the hotel berri was average. The down side to this place was the air conditioner did not work well. It made the room stuffy. The only other problem a small one, I attempted to order room service. Kept calling the number on the phone. No answer. Called the front desk ask about room service. She acknowledged that it should be available transfers my call. The phone never rang. I ended up going down to the restaurant ordered. The trip was pleasure just to see the city. Overall a lot to see. Great church architecture old Montreal and museum. The only suspect area was an area that the street was closed for traffic. It was lined with pink balls overhead. A lot of people homeless drug addiction problems I believe. Not a pretty sight. A exceptional visit to Quebec city. Great place. I wished I had made part of my trip there for at least two days. Next time I visit I will split between the two cities. Canada is a beautiful place great people.

Hoilday vacation

Traveling to Montreal staying at Lord Berri is home away from home, comfortable, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the lobby restaurant is like home cooked meals, with excellent service. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Never returning again

Would not recommend Thu, Oct 16, 2014
Hotel lobby seemed nice at first, but the front desk customer service (called Elsa) ruined the entire evening for my family getaway. She gave us our rooms half an hour late without an apology, nor a smile. I had to check with her FOUR TIMES before she unpleasantly gave us our rooms. The room smelled like mold, carpet stained, and the hair dryer sparked with fire when I used it. Unbelievable... never returning and not going to recommend this place to anyone. There are lots of other hotels near the downtown area. Go elsewhere but here!

Great location

Would recommend Tue, Aug 26, 2014
The hotel is in a great location which leads you to many attractions in minutes walk. The village, old Montreal, chinatown or even downtown. We've been here couple times, but this time the room is not what we expected. It was ages, and not really clean. However, we only spent a night there so it was a great short escape for us.

Attractions

5 minutes walk to the old Montreal, and 2 minutes away from the village.

Montreal summer weekend

Would recommend Fri, Aug 8, 2014
We have stayed here for the past three years. The hotel is a good value in a good location right by Rue St Catherine and a metro hub. Easy walk to the old quarter too. It has comfortable beds and a very nice staff.
