Great hotel in a fabulous location!
The King Suite was awesome....bedding was "luscious" and so comfy. The location fit our needs perfectly. Just a couple of blocks from Crescent Street and all the shops on St. Catherine Street. The price was fabulous.

good value, walkable distance to downtown, old town, old port
Very nice, very clean and comfortable hotel. Food is expensive so we ate elsewhere. Just remember, Canada has high taxes.

Very well situated and very helpful staff. The Hotel is walking distance from the shopping area Rue Sainte Catherine, very convenient.

great location, comfortable room
the hotel is situated right in the heart of downtown Montreal and is within walking distance to all the major attractions. The only negative comment about the hotel that we have, is that we couldn't take a decent shower because the water kept going from scalding hot to freezing cold...it was imposible to regulate the water temperature. Great hotel for the price!

Almost Amazing
The hotel is almost there. It's a beautiful building with large rooms and original decoration/furniture, but it needs a little work. They are currently renovating so I'm sure it's just a matter of time. You have a real full kitchen with a full sized fridge. You can cook complete meals in this suite. Perfect for a small family get away. I would recommend getting the king sized room. It has separate doors for the bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living room. Complete with dining room table. It's like a one bedroom apartment.

You are right near the university, so if you walk a couple blocks, make a left on Crescent street and you'll find a lot of night life.

Way too Expensive
The hotel looked nice when we first got there. The staff was nice and the service was good but that's about all I have nice to say about my stay. They charge for the internet and parking, the breakfast buffet was overpriced and the pool on the roof was small. The A/C in the room was bad and the shower was worse. It had an old shower head with hot water that came and went and stayed cold for a period of time. The door locks are old and difficult. I'm sure the hotel was amazing when it started but the only update to the hotel I think was the flat screen TVs in the rooms.

The good visit
the accommodations were great and left little to be desired. The maid service was good but, forgot to provide us with hand towels on two occasions. However, when we asked for towels the response was immediate.Staff was helpful with advise which made our vacation most enjoyable.
