Business trip in relax atmosphere

This was a business trip, but with a some time to spare. Hotel location was perfect - very close to the old city, nearby park, plenty of small restaurants around - good time after work. Also museums and art galleries are to consider while you are there - admittion is on the high side, but still worth it. Room was large with walk-in kitchenette, service was good, room clean and fresh every day. If only you could open the windows in the room...

Great hotel in an amazing city

My friend and I (both 18 years old) were allowed to rent the hotel with no questions asked. The staff was all respectful to us, and there wasn't a language barrier anywhere in downtown. Definitely going back this summer, it was the best trip ever! My only complaint would be parking. It's a bit pricey (70$ for 3 days) but that was it.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

If you want to do any shopping find a way to get into Centre Eaton. It's a huge underground mall that I didn't know existed until we wandered into it.

Exactly what we needed

We were visiting university campuses in Montreal. The hotel is well situated next to two campuses, great restaurants and more. Very friendly service also and convenient parking lot for a small extra.

Good hotel in a great location

We had 6 people in our group, and got two rooms, each with 2 queen beds. The rooms were attached, which made things a lot easier for our group. The rooms were categorized as "suites", but they were a bit small to be considered that, in my opinion. The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff are very friendly. My only real complaints about the hotel are: 1) bathroom doors didn't have locks 2) TV's in both rooms were extremely old units 3) you have to travel 10 floors to get ice As you can see, my issues with the hotel are very minor, and overall my group was very happy with our choice.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

We were told by a few people to check out "the underground city". Basically from what we saw, this was just a very large shopping mall that happens to be underground.

Good Location, Good Hotel

Great location off the Peel Metro stop. Easy access to all of the major tourist attractions. Rooms were nice and clean. Perfect for someone who will be out and about all day. Only drawback is that wifi was not free.

Buy a Metro pass. It cost us $28 per person for unlimited access for a week. It also includes buses. Every major attraction is easily accessible via Metro. Excellent organization.

V.good hotel

Very good hotel. Ideally situated, a 5-minute walk to the museums, the park and rue Ste Catherine. Rooms are spacious, very comfortable, super clean, and very well-heated too (it was brutally cold outside!!), with a big desk; the kitchenette was very convenient (coffee-maker and microwave), so you can really do without the hotel breakfast. And you have plenty of nice boulangeries/bakeries in rue Peel around the corner. Staff was very friendly too. I would definitely go back, included with my family. Really great deal for the price. They have 2 treadmills in their gym with a great view on the city; but even better (provided you bundle up!), the park is 2 minutes away; and once you get there (a few flight of stairs...) the run is mostly flat.

There wasn't that many souvenir shops:I found one on rue Ste Catherine going north (heading to the Vieux Montreal) with local Inuit crafts; from the outside, the shop doesn't look like much but I found nice stuff.

A great vacation!

Staying at the Hotel Le Cantlie Suites was a perfect experience for my boyfriend and I. We had an amazing view, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and everything was so clean and fresh each day. We were in such a great area of Montreal...We got to walk everywhere, and we took the Metro (right around the corner!) to places that were further away. There were so many neat shops, restaurants, and sites nearby, that it truly made this hotel the perfect location! I definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here if I were to travel to Canada again!

Hotel Le Cantile Suties

The hotel was superb in every respect. It is in a very, very nice part of the city; there are excellent restaurants of every kind within a 5 minute walk. The only draw-back, if it matters to you, is that the TV's are a little dated. But if your in Montreal, I would hope you have better things to do with your time.
