If you just need a place sleep, shower, and leave your stuff, this place is perfect

I had a fantastic time. This was a bachelor party trip and this hotel won because it was the cheapest. I almost got something else because people were saying this place was a disaster. After staying there, I think some of these reviewers are just overly picky but to each their own. I thought this place was just fine and the bonuses were discovered when we got there. Parking garage was 50 paces away. Convenience/beer store was across the street. Metro with three different lines was two blocks away. Easy access to the Casino, or two separate parts of downtown. If you'd prefer to walk, downtown is still only a twenty/thirty minute walk. Complimentary wifi was helpful to plan the day's events. Bank two blocks away. Tons of pubs, cafés, adult entertainment, and food just a short walk. The rooms were clean. I found the beds to be very comfortable. We were on the 4th floor so the water took a while to get hot sometimes but our group is pretty mellow so that wasn't much of a problem. We really just needed a cheap place to store our stuff, shower, and sleep.

Nice place

Very small, but clean and close to a lot of activities.. Only problem was the language barrier. I'm from NY and do not speak French and the man at the desk barely spoke English so it was difficult checking in.

Not great, but comparably cheap

To keep it short - the rooms are not the cleanest (for example the bathroom tiles looked shiny, making a simple swipe with paper showed a pretty black piece of paper - dirt nicely distributed instead of cleaned). The door locks i could open keyless within 2 seconds. On the good side: the entry is always locked and somebody is at the front desk 24 hours. Staff was generally friendly and helpful, breakfast so-so but existent, and most important: compared to other prices near the center it's really ok.

Great location, clean/nice

Stayed in Montreal for 4 days at this hotel, and couldn't have been happier. Walking distance to bus/metro station and many restaurants and shops. The room was quite small, but clean and comfortable (but hopefully if you're staying here with so much to see, you won't spend much time in the room anyway!) and had a private bathroom which I was glad for. It even had a refrigerator where I could keep drinks cool or store leftovers, and free wifi. Nice! The front desk staff members were pleasant and spoke English and French (though some were better at one or the other). Overall, for the price, couldn't have been better! Very happy with my stay.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Parking seemed difficult, so don't rent a car if you can at all manage without. Also, taxis can be rather expensive. Instead, make use of the city's mass-transit services. A major station is just half a block from this hotel and will get you all over the place. Specifically, the 747 bus will take you straight from the airport to within a couple blocks of this hotel.

Nice stay in Montreal al low price

it´s a nice hotel two stars at most, but it is near everything and it´s low rates worths it! For tourist that need a hotel to be outside all time. Because it is near de metro you can make your shopping return to de hotel and leave again , a clean bathroom a nice bed is what you need , it is the place to stay while you are in Montreal. 5 minut5s to de Gilles Villanueve circuit ( 1 station metro) , ten minutes walking to old montreal, 15 minutes to downtown , near university of Qubec library, movies, etc. And if you rent a car it shold be better to go outside montreal

Worst hotel I have been to

When we got to this hotel my friends and I realized why they hotel was so cheap. Although it is close to the bus station and a walk from many attractions downtown, the room was cramped and dirty. When we arrived we saw a bug crawling across one of the headboards. They did not have many towels and their packets of soap and shampoo were really small. The staff were friendly and even gave us an extra bed to sleep on. But I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. In fact we left to sleep in another hotel the next night. Honestly, I'm not even sure how the hotel was even two stars.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel was close to the Latin Quarter, Old Montreal and China Town. That was one thing I was really impressed about Downtown Montreal was that everything was so close within walking distance and Old Montreal was beautiful. The pedestrian road is really nice too with the freshly squeezed juice and all sorts of portrait and caricature stands.

One night stand hotel!

I went to Montreal with my family for leisure for 3 days. We chose this hotel because it was downtown area (very close to restaurants and attractions of the city) and not very expensive. The hotel is clean and secure but it is NOT A FAMILY HOTEL. The hotel does not have an elevator. It was very crucial for people like me, who travel with babies (strollers, car seats, and lots of stuff). I had to carry everything one by one through the stairs during my stay. (In this sense, it is not good for disabled or elderly people either!) There is a continental breakfast served everyday at the reception. You should take the food and coffee to the room to eat (there is no enough space). The staff were not always friendly for the guests, who wish to take some extra breakfast for the family members. If you are there at the weekend, you may hear (or see!) drunk couples checking in late night for spending one night together. This is a 'one night stand' type of hotel. It could be a good one fro this purpose but I would not go for a hotel like this with the family next time. Thanks,

if you're just looking for a cheap room

nothing special about the rooms, but good if you are looking for a cheap room in a central location within walking distance to most of the tourist areas and public transportation (2 metro lines are 1 block way). The staff were very helpful and accommodating. My only complaint was that the room could have been a bit cleaner (empty beer bottle under the bed).

I asked for non smoking and there

I asked for non smoking and there was a smell of old smoke in the room. Otherwise, it was quiet, and for the price OK.
