Montreal hotel with requisite comforts and welcoming feel
Situated not far from the University of Quebec-Montreal, the casual Hotel Elegant is near the National Library of Quebec and L'atelier de Sculpture du Village. Excellent Location!!

Location was excellent! Everything is in walking distance, including the Metro right around the corner. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's an old building, so the room had a distinct scent, but it was clean and really for the money, you can't go wrong. No complaints here. Would definitely stay here anytime I visit Montreal!

St. Denis street is two blocks away and has a variety of Restaurants with any type of food you may desire.

It's great for what you pay!

Pros: - close to everything (subway, stores, restaurants, greyhound, downtown, even library and movie theaters) - clean, quiet, non-smoking rooms; - a small fridge, TV, hair dryer, a phone; Cons: - no coffee machine (I was dying to get my tea in the morning before actually going out); - they didn't promote complimentary continental breakfast (8-10am), so I found out about it only on the last day of staying. But since it was just tea/coffee and bagels, it didn't really matter; - no digital clock in the room, so I had to use my phone to look up the time. Pretty inconvenient indoors; - they were making some minor repairments during my stay, but it didn't bother me much.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

There is almost nothing going on in Montreal on Mondays and Tuesdays, lots of museums and other interesting touristic places are closed. So, plan accordingly. I would recommend a Spa on the water called Bota-Bota. It's on an old boat in Downtown area. Also I suggest to visit Biodome, if you have any interest in plants and animals life and love parks and nature. It's a really amazing place and you might need the whole day just to walk all around that complex.

It's ok... adjust your selft

What we paid is what we get. Staff is so friendly with nice manner and helpful. Free Breakfast but same menu everyday with one or two items.

Right for the price

Very smelly. The staff was nice. It wasn't exactly what I'd call clean. The neighborhood was convenient and safe. If you're going to be out all day and need a bed and a shower, it's fine for the price. It just smelled very musty and like cigarettes, but we're easygoing, so we just opened the windows.

hotel Elegant

The hotel is very very near to Cetral bus Staion of Grayhond. Just cross the road and you are at the hotel front door. Small rooms. The breakfast was not good. People are very cooperative.

ideal location, hotel undesirable.

the hotel conditions: old carpet, needs an update, the towels, soaps are of the cheapest quality, the lights were dim around the hotel and in the room. The air condition was barely on some days.

Hotel Elegant Montreal was alright.

Hotel Elegant Montreal was alright. It was in a good location and was warm, with a decent sized bathroom. It was too expensive though, not very clean and had an awful complimentary breakfast.
