Nice Stay in Montreal
The hotel was fancy for the price and we enjoyed our stay. Was very clean and had a petite gym good for a quick workout before exploring the city. Very conveniently located on top of a Metro stop (Berri UQAM) and part of the underground city shopping area known as Centreville. Perfect location for exploring the old downtown part of Montreal.

Convenient to Everything Gay in Montreal
We are a gay couple that regularly travel to Montreal. The Gouverneur is one of the best-located full service hotels for exploring everything the city has to offer. Within a few minutes walk to everything in The Village. Metro stop downstairs that will take you to other areas with great shopping, dining or sight seeing. It's not the fanciest hotel in the city and some of the fixtures can appear a bit worn and in need of an update. But if you prefer a corporate style hotel instead of a smaller botique or bed & breakfast, the Gouverneur is really the only hotel to choose from if you want to be able to walk to most places. If you stay here during one of the large festival weekends, ask for a higher floor with a view of Olympic Stadium. Gamelin Park across the street from the hotel hosts many evening concerts during the summer, and if your room is facing the park, you will hear all of it.

Great location for the price!!!
This hotel was in a great spot, connected to the metro line and connected to several shops (including a grocery store and pharmacy). Very convient especially since there is a fridge (at least in business class unsure of other rooms) and you can keep some water/juice/wine, etc.. :) Located right in the midst of the Village and Latin Quarter. Few metro stops to Old Montreal and anywhere else. We stayed in the business class which were very nice rooms, spacious, clean, and access to business center with free internet use, bottled water and snacks. Pool was fine, gym had only a few equipment and most of it was out of order. Also we got free breakfast -average but hey it's free! (consisted of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, french toast, muffins, etc.. Just a note they will make eggs to order just ask! Would def stay again!

MY Governeur stay
My stay was for 3 nights at the hotel and although my room wasn't ready at my arrival due to my early check in the front desk staff kindly advised me that I could leave my luggage at the bell man's storage till I got the room ready, since I was going out for business meeting and I wasn't even going to use the room I was perfectly fine. Good location and you can get from the hotel to almost anywhere in St. Catherine's within 15 to 20 minutes walk. The best is the service from the staff, they are always happy to assist and with a big smile on their faces.
