One night in Montreal
My son and I found this hotel online. I highly recomend the location. While the room was average the hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. We had a non-smoking room with 2 double beds and a great view of the city. Parking was easy and room service was great!

Good pseudo-upscale atmosphere with a great location. Parking is tight, though, especially for larger cars !

great location
The location is right in the middle of the festivities. However some things need to be improved: 1. The drapes don't close all the way. In the middle is a thin curtain that allows light to go through. I usually like my room dark so I tend to wake up earlier than usual because of these drapes. 2. The rooms are not sound proof. I can even hear the toilet flushing or the shower running from the other room when I am in my bed. Overall however good experience: friendly and helpful courier, free wifi.

Not Superior, but shabby
First the positives -Generally good service and staff (though see below), reasonably clean. But... 1. Equipment: TV, coffee maker clock-radio, etc..old and worn. The internet TV was confusing (no channel guide, and poor picture quality made it impossible to even find the time). Phone refused to allow an outside call (yes, I followed instructions). Finally called front desk (twice) for help and was put on hold then disconnected after 5-10 minutes. 2. Food: Bad. The breakfast buffet was not 4-star, more like what you'd get at a low end greasy spoon - runny eggs, bland coffee, slimy bacon, stale croissants unworthy of Montreal, etc... It wasn't cheap either - 20$ after tip for one person! Do not recommend. 3. Pool -kind of small & too shallow on the ends to do laps. Seemed crowded with only 3 others in the water. 4. Noise - Hearing a neighbor drain the lizard is definitely not ok. 5. Area - close to UQAM, the Gay Village, and St. Denis, which is all cool, but the big park next door has the ambiance of a refugee camp. Lots of sketchy characters hanging around who might harass you.

Great Place to Stay
The hotel staff was very courteous and well prepared. There were NO issues at all for our stay! Very clean rooms with complimentary WiFi. The location was GREAT. Right at the front Door of the Village and with Ste. Catherine St. blocked off as a pedestrian street for the summer, it was all the better. A short walk to all the restaurants and bars!
