A RETURN TO MEMORIES FROM 40 YEARS AGO

Would recommend Mon, Nov 16, 2015
In 40 years everything changes but the Queenie maintains her style, however in June of 2016 the hotel will close for a year of rejuvenation and renovation. It does need cosmetic as well as new tech updates. The location is excellent and on the road to the airport's 747 express bus. and the underground city of shops and restaurants is an added advantage.

Quick Weekend Getaway

Would not recommend Wed, Sep 9, 2015
We booked this hotel as it was the only one available for our last minute weekend getaway. When we booked the room we selected states it would have a queen bed but while checking in we were told our room had 2 double beds. The staff were very nice and after a bit of searching were able to find us a room with a queen bed despite the fact the hotel was sold out during the length of our stay. Conceirge was very helpful with recommendations for navigating the city and restaurant suggestions. They had a map for everything, which was very helpful! The wifi is an additional cost and was not very reliable as I used the PayPal option to connect for 24 hours but My connection only lasted for a few of those ours and I did not want to have to pay again for it. The hotel itself is a little outdated and could use some renovating & updates. The plumbing is really loud, every time a toilet flushes In or near your room you can hear it! The valet parking was full when we arrived so we were asked to self park in a garage just behind the hotel, which benefited us because it was about 1/2 the price. For a next visit to Montreal I think we will try a different hotel!

Great location to do anything in Montreal

Would recommend Wed, Sep 9, 2015
The hotel is located over a metro station and within a block of a tourist info center where you can pick up the local bus to the Old Port as well as all the tourist busses. It is also close to the many shops on St Catherine St and plenty of restaurants. The facility is in good shape and the room was clean. The only downsides were 1) wifi is an added cost and 2) if you arrive at the hotel by car between 3:30 and 6:30 pm, you can't valet at the main entrance and instead must drive around to the side, which we didn't know. This turned out to be impossible as the rush hour traffic was gridlocked on the side street with standing busses, taxis, and no remaining space to valet. After two unsuccessful passes we decided to drive away and returned after 6:30.

A disappointing stay in Montreal.

Would not recommend Wed, Aug 19, 2015
Our first night the AC unit broke. When maintenance could not repair the unit our room was changed. We had to wait until 3pm that day to get into the room. The hotel offered two free drinks in the bar. Considering we had to sleep in a hot room, they should have comped the one night. The room was very small. I have stayed at this hotel in the past. It is dated and in need of renovation. I was very disappointed. Would not stay there again.

Excellent Service, great location, great ameneties. I did find my particular room small. Not usually what im used to. I felt that Wifi should of been complimentary given the room rate. A Fridge would of been helpful as well and they are available but for additional cost.

A fantastic stay - an old school luxury hotel. The concierge was helpful whenever we needed guidance. Central location to everything downtown. If you're not a President's Club member, I suggest getting it on the spot - save on internet connection charges.

Great hotel

Would recommend Mon, Jan 5, 2015
Very, very helpful reception staff. Really went above and beyond to help, including generously finding us a healthy snack when the restaurant was closed and it was too cold to go outdoors! Only complaint (a minor one!) was that the available outlet for computer charging was very hard to reach not an ideal situation for business travel, but it may just have been the furniture setup in our room. Great location near many metro stops and in walking distance to the old city and shopping centers.
