not the best value for money
At check in the attendant was busy answering a telephone call and paid little or no attention to us and never said the magic words of welcome to our hotel. The hotel is a significant distance from the metro and the town centre as we found to our chagrin. The room is of acceptable quality and our request for change of pillows was responded to positively. Room service was fine although food quality could be improved ... the plastic flower in the room did little to improve the ambience ... for the same price could find a better hotel in Montreal

The hotel was clean and comfortable but it is no 5 star. But a good price and location, I would book again because of the decent price, right next to saint catherine street and the restaurant in the hotel was actually pretty good.

Days Inn Montreal
Have stayed here several times. The rooms are pleasant and the location is convenient. On this visit the radiator in the room didn't work, so there was no heat - it got chilly as the night went on. Biggest downside is that parking is 20 dollars.

Pleasant, clean and convenient
We were well taken care of. The staff was courteous and responsive. The hotel is not grand, but is very nicely appointed and has a very good cafe/restaurant in the lobby. The strongest point is its location, which is near the Old Port section as well as the heart of downtown. Given quality, price and location, an excellent bargain.

Basic hotel, good location, bad pillows
The hotel was good, centrally located near downtown and old city, clean, quiet, and safe. My only complaint was that the pillows were so big and firm that my neck hurt in the morning (picky, I know). The rest was great.

Better then Expected
We basically drove from NYC to stay a few days. Thought Days Inn would be marginal but it was better. Restaurant could use some work but all else was good.

No problems
Staff were all very nice. Room was clean. Hotel was clean. The rooms are a bit outdated but acceptable and everything was working. Valet parking for 20 a night, in a lot behind the hotel - same lot as a police station and where the police park their cars. Nice small restaurant with a very friendly server, Sam. Overall the hotel was clean, close to many things, and friendly staff and affordable.

One of the newest and hidden charms to Montreal is the old waterfront - vieux port. There are so many restaurants, and shops all in an old French town type setting. Everything is new though and clean and it is a safe area. You may like it better than crazy and loud st Catherine or crescent streets.
