Perfect in every way!

We were amazed and delighted at the value we received for the price! The hotel is small enough and picturesque enough to be personal but very professional and no one is "in your face." The staff is bi-lingual and helpful, the room we had was enormous, air-conditioned (which was a must and the breakfasts are incredible for a hotel! My husband requires gluten-free and always found plenty of meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt and milk. Of course, always little pastries for those who require them and the breakfast salon is lovely with soft classical music playing. The location is perfect for us since we are walkers and we always walked into downtown and to the old town as well. I would go to the Hotel Cheateau Versailles even without the Cheaptickets package! It was wonderful!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

We loved the little restaurant called Au Bistro Gourmet around the corner on St. Mathieu - their Cassoulette of seafood was the best meal I had in all of Montreal and Quebec City. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. On the other hand, we had a negative experience at the restaurant that is somehow affiliated with the Cheateau (called Bronte, across the street in the Meridien Hotel. Snooty wait staff, long wait and very expensive.

A beautiful place

The staff was extremely helpful, courteous and polite. This hotel was first class all the way! Beautiful rooms and hotel location. We were a five minute walk from many museums, art galleries and shopping boutiques.

There is a wonderful little restaurant called Premier Moisson just down the street. Wonderful food and great prices. It's great for grabbing either a quick bite or dinner with friends and family.

I will live here forever.

This was GORGEOUS................. except for my 25kg suitcase being schlepped up and down 3 flights of stairs, by utterly charming French speaking staff, for whom, nothing...( even in Montreal), was a problem.( oops, didn't check for lift!) Breakfast was truly ' High-sterical'. Every aging anorectic on the Canadian planet, whingeing over lack of this and that... what? Air?. I Loved this Hotel, and am booking it again for the return trip.

great anniversary location

good location, near museum, ran to Mont Royal park, 2 blocks above shopping on St. Catherine, staff were very helpful and gave great recommendations for restaurants. Rooms are a little small but really not an issue.

Good for being downtown

Very close to the city and in walking distance of just about everything montreal has to offer. The only part that you really have to take a car or bus to would be old montreal but the location is great and the staff is excellent in the hotel.

Charming!!

The hotel is a collection of old Montreal Mansions that have been joined together. Absolutely charming! The location is excellent. The valet parking is very convenient and your car is available at any time for one daily price. I would stay there again!!!
