Disappointment

I would never imagine that the 4 star hotels could offer something less than the queen size bed and I missed the fact that I was booking just double-size bed in the tiny room. The good thing was that we didn't need to go to the gym- our room was on 4th floor with no elevator.

Great location, friendly staff

The hotel is a converted old house. It's very clean, and the staff is helpful. Parking runs $27/day. There are no elevators, and a longish set of stairs to walk in the hotel, plus more to go to your room. The breakfast buffet is very decent. Our room had an awful view of an interior courtyard, but if you keep the curtains closed, the room itself is well appointed. Wi-fi works well inside the rooms.

We were very happy with our stay. Great location. Bus stop right next to and in front of the hotel. The metro was also so close too. Breakfast was good too!

Great location but needs some attention

This hotel is in a great location and has much in aesthetic appeal. Their internet, however, is poor with signal drops common. In addition, the ice-maker was broken the entire week we were there nor were the in-room coffee supplies replenished over that same time frame. Overall, good value as well as pleasant but has room for improvement.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

From the Trudeau Airport use the 747 bus and the Metro to the Guy-Concordia stop (green line) and end up only a couple of blocks from the Chateau Versailles....a significant cost savings compared to a taxi!

Cozy & Romantic True Montreal Experience w/ breakfast

Chateau was originally a castle, and you are treated like you are staying in one. The place has great energy, the staff is very warm and cordial and do everything to make you feel comfortable. It has become a part of our loving memories in Montreal. I would highly recommend anyone staying there. The breakfast is a highlight - very French style.

PARKING - it costs $27 per night if you park in Chateau. But with a short walk you can park in the College de Montreal public parking for $11 for 12hrs. It is great.
