So different from picture!!

This hotel was second worst hotel in my life... First, my reserved room was SO OLD. The bottom of wall was a little bit clacked and dirty. Second, I could not find the control item for room air conditioner. Third, "share bathroom" 's shower did not work. Just cold water... Finally, I claimed above worse things... I strongly not recommend you to book this hotel. Especially, you prefer clean amenities, room or bed, you should avoid this hotel. But, if you need low value, you might book... The owner was so kind woman.

Great Value

for 40 - 50 bucks a night you really cant go wrong with this hotel. perfect for the traveller on a budget in need of a bed and shower. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. This isn't a hotel for someone looking to live like a king but it does provide a nice place to sleep with a great view and location on st. catherine. I would recommend it to everyone who wants money in their wallet, but not a picky family looking for a giant room.

Friendly and helpful management, but hotel was not up to par. Clean but lacking in amenities, such as shortage of towels, no tissues, no clock, TV defective or very poor signal. Neighborhood not the most desirable. Highly inflated room rates, due to Formula 1 race going on,

Take #34 Bus, just outside hotel to Papineau Metro Station and take green line Metro to Peel Street Station in city center, which puts you in the heart of restaurants and nightlife

A lovely place to put your head

The hotel is actually a boarding house of sort, and most rooms don't have a private bathroom or shower. Reading about this in another review, we ordered the deluxe room which does, and it was very much worth the money, especially when you consider the low prices. The woman who received us took 20-30 minutes of her time to help us plan our visit to Montreal, with a map and detailed explanations, and was really helpful in every way. Breakfast, included in the price, left something to be desired. Still, it was enough to get us through the first part of the day. All things considered, this was a good place to stay, especially with a car (although parking space is limited), and the hotel is as close to the downtown area as to the Olympic stadium.

Very friendly place in a great city!!

This delightful little hotel is clean, professional, and very friendly. The free breakfast each morning was a great way to start each day and the location is quiet, yet downtown and attractions are close by. The price point is great and the accommodations are comfortable. Thanks for a great New Year's weekend!

Great for the family!

This was a great place for the family. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. There was no common area in our room but we were busy all day and the adults had privacy as well as did the teenagers. The bathroom was small but clean. The free breakfast was really good and a casual self-serve of pastries, bagels, toast, oj, coffee and tea. There was free internet and parking. The maid service could be better but our requests were quickly serviced. The location is on St. Catherine St. East, which was 15 minutes drive from the town center. It is also located past the "Gay Village". The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I forgot my laptop charger cord and they mailed it to me for no charge!

When traveling into the city center it is best to take Masonneauve St. instead of trying to go through Sherbrooke St. St. Catherine East is a 2 way street, but only for a short while. You can also take Notre=Dame Ave a block away as well.

Fantastic experience!

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel in Montreal. The first thing I realized about this hotel, other than the price was the review. It had only 1 review and it was bad since I was on a budget I decided to check on Trip Ad... and realised they actually had great reviews so I decided to book. When I came in the staff was extremely warm and polite and the place actually looked nice. I had booked their cheapest room and the lowest price in town but I was pleasantly surprised that the room actually was spacious and welcoming. I mean paying 44$ and having free parking, free internet, free breakfast and a decent room I made a great deal. They showed me rooms with private washroom in case I wanted to pay a little more for an upgrade and the better rooms are much more extravagant than what you'll find in the regular chain hotels (unfortunately I was on a tight budget). [...] At first I thought I was far from down-town but later when I went out to have a drink it took me only 5 min to drive to Crescent street and the receptionist even got me free entrance for the club I was suppose to go(saved an extra 15$).I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're looking to pay 50$ for a 5 star hotel. As a finance student who likes to know where every dollar is going I can recommend this hotel to anyone who likes great service and is looking to get a lot more than what they paid for.

The hotel did not match the pictures or description. I was highly disappointed and wanted to cancel but the hotel would not offer a refund. The roomwas outdated and very tight. I will never stay here ever again and I feel sorry for anyone else who books this place.

A éviter
