Ideal location
Our pre-paid deal was great for this hotel. It is being refurbished at present so facilities were restricted. Having said that it has the best view of Ottawa, the river, bridges, Parliament etc and only a invigorating 10 minute walk over Alexandra Bridge. The road outside is quiet, there is a lovely riverside walk through the parkland outside, the Museum of Civilisation is a 5 minute walk away. It is worth upgrading to a river view room with balcony for the aforementioned views and opening windows for fresh air. Rooms have spacious fridges, free wi-fi and well equipped bathrooms, big carpark (charges apply) and good swimming pool, although opening times were only 5.30pm-9.30pm during our stay, hopefully once refurbishment complete this will increase to all day. We only had one breakfast here as it was so good to walk over the bridge into downtown Ottawa for a varied selection of places.

Nice stay
Nice comfurtably furnished room and the view on the river was really nice.The hôtel is very well located with easy acces to Ottawa and Gatineau . Staff was extra nice and very polite. Only négative point was the restaurant in the hôtel for breakfast although very conveniant the food is god awful.

Pleasant Hotel in Tourist district

Well worth the stay
My visit to Ottawa Canada was to visit a very good friend whom I have known for the past 38 years, and who is now hospitalized for what appears will be a very long time. This was my first trip to Ottawa and Gatineau, and I throughly enjoyed my stay.
