Great location

Everything worked out, staff was friendly and helpful. Our door didn't lock, so had to use the slider lock, and the washroom door didn't close properly. But the location was really good.

I would stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location - we had a river view room and the scenery was amazing. The building is dated but clean. Staff was knowledgable and helpful - not real friendly. We had the pool all to our self and the woman at the front desk said that most days no one uses it. Close to everything and again the view was incredible.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Asked check in where to go to eat. She recommended the Loose Goose right around the corner. Wings were great - fries were terrible - beer was good.

Couple + Dog get away

We liked the hotel, the room was really clean the ONLY downside was that one old guy working in the reception was a jerk and we had to pay extra for parking! our dog was happy i guess and the swimming pool looks dirty but thats because the hotel is old! we went to a public park to swim on a heated swimming pool!

Sleep Nightmare

The first night was excellent. The second night was a nightmare. 3 inebriated girls arrived at 3:30 a.m. in the hall banging on a door and making a lot of racket. Other door started opening and arguments ensued. It took the hotel front desk/security/police over an hour to evict these people. The next morning the front desk was very apathetic " Ah this could happen in your apartment building. Things happen" And we thought being on the 8th floor we would have peace and quiet. Also no breakfast.

Overnight Stay

I booked this room for a concert that was at the Riverfront Festival Plaza. The hotel location was a 2 minute walk to the event so it was perfect for our 1 night stay. Check in and check out was easy and fast and employees were very nice.

HS Graduation

Best location in Windsor. Room was mostly clean but brown fingerprints on light switch wall plate. Room smelled a bit musty. Carpet and furniture had seen its day. Furniture old, scratched and chipped. Bed was comfortable and clean. Girl at checkin very sweet helpful. But I called the next day to change my room to a river view (Detroit skyline) the girl argued it was unnecessary "what's the point?". 1 block from Ceasar's Windsor.Downtown bars clubs a block away. Most of the night life is for youngsters from Michigan due to lower drinking age in Ontario (19). So there are quite a few drunken and rowdy teenagers out and about. (I was one of them about 40 years ago so it didn't bother me.)

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Currently US dollar is worth more but many merchants take it at par.

Good overnight stay

Hotel room was nice and staff was friendly - no ice machine on floor which was inconvenient, but small hotel so hard to accommodate that - only issue was people in next room - constantly slamming door every couple of minutes and extremely loud music from early afternoon to evening - great location, 5 minute walk to casino - beautiful waterfront view - overall a great stay!!!!

Not the best, but ok...

This hotel used to be one of my favorites, but has slipped in recent months. I normally stay here when I'm in Windsor on business. The rooms are ok, but some of the beds need to be replaced, as do the pillows. I had to flag to management that the shower curtain and various other items in the room needed to be cleaned. The overnight hotel staff were less than courteous. Having said that, it's the best price I can find to stay right in downtown Windsor.

Best Deal in Windsor

I would actually rate this a 3 star hotel in the real world rather than 2 stars. The temperature controls ROCK compare to other good value hotels. The room was clean though the maid service forgot to clean it one day. Bathroom not bad, beds not too shabby, but not great. Location is amazing RIGHT on the river...no bad views, many restaurants. DEFINITELY recommend walking one block away from the river to Maroon Brothers -- great food, great owner, and an even better staff. Hotel is only about a 5-7 minute walk to Caesar's. ONLY negative thing would be I wished I just parked at the Caesar's Hotel (free) because the Travelodge charges $10 daily per vehicle (they need to make this free for paying guests). Though you can pay $5 each entry (if you won't be driving) right next door I recommend taking the walk along the river to Caesar's.

Absolutely check out Maroon Brother's only 1 block behind Tequila Bob's. Awesome food - T-Bone and shrimp basket. Great value, PERFECT staff and owner!!! Can't wait to visit again.
