Great Stay
My stay at The Westin Prince was wonderful. The staff were very helpful, and the location was great. It was close enough to the DVP to get downtown quickly and close enough to the 401 hwy to go either East or West of the city. The hotel gym offered great equipment perfect for a morning workout and the hotel room was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Great classy hotel for a great price
Ive stayed at westin hotels before so I expected a great hotel experience. I was slightly concerned at first from the look on the outside, as it did look like a condominium of some sort. However, the Westin Prince did live up to my expectation. The inside was outstanding. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I was upgraded to a deluxe room. Room was spacious and very clean. The dining experience was also great. Food tasted amazing especially the eggs Benedict. Location was great. Central to a lot of accomdations and not too far from downtown. I would highly recommend this place to anyone especially at this price!

Good business trip hotel
In town for a quick 2 nights, location was perfect for meetings I had in area. Hotel's common areas and amenities were the right amount, staff friendly also. Carpet in room was stained and a bit rough was only drawback.

The old dependable!
I visit Toronto very often (3-4X per year) to visit my parents and I've been doing this since 1993 when I left Toronto to work in the States. I always stay at The Westin (formerly called The Prince Hotel) whenever I return to Toronto because I know exactly what to expect when I stay there (courteous and friendly staff, clean beds/rooms, very good restaurants, conveniently located to different highways, only ~20 minutes from downtown Toronto, etc).

Since Westin is not located right in Downtown, it has very competitive room cost. Yet, Westin is only ~20 minutes from Downtown by car.

NOt worth a second visit
At the far north end of Toronto. Very costly to get to. A great distance from the city downtown. I have no idea why anyone would want to stay there.

ok not up to westin standard of service
westin has had best quality in my book. but here, SOME lower staff level service was not satisfactory. breakfast buffet is mediocre and no apologies for the stale baked goods 2 days. broken appliance in room went ignored by housekeeping. minr things. but otherwise up to standard from doorman to reception. i expect shortcomings are due to paltry wages. quite comfortable, just not westin standard.

Tried to sell to much in the room.
They have cheap price. they get there money buy selling you parking per day. INTERNET is avalible, for $12 per night. Touch anything in the room and you get charged. Hard to relax in that enviroment. This was no better than the days inn that was 70 per day. I should have gone there.

Not Quite Four Stars
Front desk and Bell staff were excellent. Staff at pool/bar/housecleaning ranged from near total incompetance to just plain rude. The bartender seemed to hide around a corner by the register rather than be attentive to patrons. It took twenty minutes and seven interactions with bartender to get two drafts and two appetizers when there was only 6-7 other customers. His people skills were limited and he didn't belong in a customer facing position. The cleaning staf would rotate the overlooked item on a daily basis...it might be no soap, it might be no coffee, it was always something little but irritating. Our two rooms looked a bit tired and worn. The balconies were locked so you couldn't go out to enjoy the view and it was obvious by the branches, pine needles, mold and the cigarette butts that the staff doesn't venture out on the balcony to clean either. It really diminishes the hotel's claims regarding the "view" of the parkland. It also brings safty questions to mind that the hotel has barred one way to exit room in emergency. The outdoor pool was average and towels plentiful and of high quality. The pool deck is in poor state of repair. No lifegaurd on duty (use to have one) and staffperson (usually young woman) seemed troubled to even say good morning. There was not enough pool furniture available on weekend for all of the guests. The workout room has recently been redone and has good quality equipment in good working order. Don't look for much help from concierage. All of the brochures he gave me were at least a year out of date. 2008-2009 city guide was all but useless for hours and costs.

Bring a cooler. The mini-bar fridge is packed with overpriced autobilling product. The hotel will charge you $20 day to put your own items in room fridge.
