Stands out in this price range.
Important note before the general review, the prices in this hotel are lower than their star rating would justify but travelers should be aware that they will pay $40 US a day for parking with the hotel valet service. This is the highest daily parking rate of any of the 4 star hotels in the city. The hotel was very nice, the beds comfortable, the room clean. It was almost everything one would expect of a 4 star establishment and at a considerably lower price than the other 4 star establishments in the area. The one negative aspect I found was the service; while everyone was polite they weren't always as helpful as one might hope. In a New York city 4 star hotel, if you ask where you can get a sim card for a cell service in their country, they would likely (and have in the past) send someone out to get it for you instead of, in my case, directing me to a shop in town that wasn't even open. I also asked them to exchange some currency as I had little time before an event and I like to carry some local currency for small expenditures. This is a service they advertise on this site as well as in the guest guide which I found in my room. When I asked the concierge to do this, he directed me to the front desk where I was told that they simply didn't have $100 US worth of currency because really its not something they often do and even if they did do it, it would be at a substantially worse rate than the current exchange value. I ended up purchasing a candy bar at a drug store with a hundred dollar bill and got a better exchange rate even after the price of the candy bar. This was a silly waste of time. So aside from some sub-star rating service, it was a pleasant experience and the hotel is a great value if one is not in search of over attentive personalized service.

Waterfront Toronto at it's Best.
Westin never seems to fail me and Westin Harbour Castle on the Toronto waterfront is no different. The rooms were everything you expect from a hotel of this calibre. Clean, well appointed, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant, Toula's, serves vey good food and, of course, priced accordingly. If your in Toronto for business you have many choices, however, Westin will never let you down.

When looking for a great place to dine, head over to Eden Trattoria. It is located on 58 Marine Parade Drive...just off of Lakeshore & Humber Bay (close to the Expo).

wonderful stay
We had a great stay at this Westin. The room was large, pretty, and clean. We had a wonderful view of both the city and waterfront. The staff was very well trained and helpful. The workout room and pool were really good. I only found a few downsides. The entrance setup is strange so be prepared to look for the lobby. Also, we have had better towels at cheaper hotels. The pool towels are really bad, very tiny and totally not up to standard at an upscale hotel.

Toronto is full of small neighborhood ethnic restaurants. We had wonderful food everywhere. High Park is a must for walking. It's gorgeous winter or summer. In summer take the ferry to Toronto Island. It's family heaven with beaches, splash pools, kiddie park, and picnicing.

Toronto Westin
service was pretty standard, location was inconvenient, not close to any main attractions and taxi's were very expensive to get to most places I need to go. Room could have been bigger, no seating other than the bed.

Great 2 nights stay!!
I took my best friend of 37yrs for her 50th Bday. We drove up to Toronto from Buffalo, NY. We had an 18th flr room with a fabulous view. The room was super clean with 2 dbl beds. the check in was fast and courteous starting with the Valet Captain and his car crew!! Smiles and welcomes were everywhere. When we called for extra creamers for our coffee they answered the phone, "Hello Mrs.My Name, what can we do for you?" I am a seasoned traveler and even I was impressed. The beds were superior with the famous Westin pillows. Bell service was fast and courteous also. We used the Spa for massages, which were worth the $$$ for 50 minutes. We also used the pool, whirlpool and steam and sauna rooms. All super clean and well staffed. The hotel is directly on the water and walking distance to The Rogers Center, CN Tower, St.Lawrence Market and Queens Quay shopping and restaurants. You can take a water taxi or ferry to Toronto Island from here also. Wonderful visit and I will be back again!!
