relaxing stay

Hotel is right on the lake in the heart of the Harbourfront district, within walking distance of nice restaraunts, bars, clubs, sports locations, theaters, etc. Restaurant located inside (on top of) the hotel is elegant and romantic. Parking downtown is limited and the valet service was $40 to park at the hotel, and $20 to "park about 1-2 blocks away). Being familiar with downtown Toronto, I chose the $40 hotel valet. This location really does have it all- peaceful waterfront views, hustle-bustle of the big city, shopping, nightlife, eateries all within walking distance.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Toronto is not inexpensive. Be prepared to spend a little extra. Service in the hotel was good, but service overall in Toronto is not like the US (NY). Its generally slower and not as professional. Many times you must ask for your check- they wont just bring it to you quickly.

Great get away weekend spot

Overall it was well worth the cost. Location was great! Due to size of hotel staff seemed to have lost little of the personal touch that I have gotten while staying at other Westin's. The rooms were very nice.I would definately come back.

Heard someone mention Kew beach on east side of Toronto. Short drive or was told trolly drops you off right very close to beach. Nice town with shops and restaruants.

Everything you would expect

I've been to Canada 3 times this year, and stayed at the Westin each time I visited. It is a central location to the clients I was meeting with, and downtown is just a hop away. Each time I was greeted with a friendly staff, and a comfortable bed. For me, a good shower is important, especially when waking up early to meet with clients. The Westin had a high shower head (which is important to me 6' 2") and good water pressure. I hate if I have to bend over to wash my hair. I know this might sound weird, but sometimes it can be the little things that really make a big difference. Traveling for business, it would be nice if they would include internet in the price of the stay.

Don't do Valet, it's easy to self-park, and just a short walk from the hotel.

excellent service & accomodation

The accomadation & service were excellent. The staff were friendly & were informative when there was a false alarm fire called. The crepes served in the lobby were a pleasant & enjoyable addition.

A nice family stay.

The was great hotel for the online price that I paid. The location is good for the summertime in Toronto. Easy walking distance to the Habourfront shopping center and even the CN Tower if you wanted too. Highly recommended.

Save the $40 price of valet parking by parking down the street for about $15 flat rate.

16th floor mediocrity

Nothing stands out about our stay at this hotel. My husband's annual conference was held at the convention center, so this was a good location for that. I walked around the largest dog event in North America, called Woofstock, and the markets. I used the spa services, which were nice but very pricey. Concierge staff was pretty good, though parking service was troublesome.

Toronto Getaway

The location is steps away from the ferry to Toronto Island. However, driving in Toronto can be expensive as parking is not cheap, but cheaper than New York. Also, there are many bicycles driving through the streets. We went to Greektown, Niagara Falls, Art Gallery of Ontario and Eaton Centre. We also visited friends. Although you could walk to downtown if you have time, this is not a downtown hotel. The views are great but you may consider the streetcar and subway to go downtown. The pool and fitness center are very nice and the staff was friendly.

Disappointing for a Westin

I have stayed at many Westin Hotels and had a great experience. This hotel charged an exorbitant fee for local phone calls which puts international travelers, (I have a US cell plan) at a big disadvantage. Also, the towels and beds were just not what I expect at a Westin. I would also expect internet fees to be included in the price. The staff was very gracious.
