good location but dissappointing
I was excited to get such a great deal at this hotel (was told it was very good, and it showed a 5 star rating). At best, I would give it 3.5 stars. The room was tiny, with 2 small windows facing the cement wall of the next building. Most of the staff are fine, but the parking staff were not (seemed more interested in getting a tip than to doing any service). All in all, great location but next time I will stay somewhere else. I didn't try the spa though...

Nice, but expensive
Old hotel, nice, but not as luxuriate as I expected for the price. Staff (young lady at front desk, concierge and doorman)were extremely polite and helpful. Room was small, but clean. You would think for almost $300 a night they could replace the 21 inch tube TV. Did mention insects to front desk clerk on way out - no real reaction.

Average hotel
Its hard to believe this is a five-star hotel. The roof-top bar is highly recommended for its view, outstanding service and ambiance. Housekeeping, on the other hand was more than disappointing. Late cleanup in the afternoons and only one turn-down service for three nights despite requests for it.

Very Nice Stay
We recently enjoyed a five-night stay at the Park Hyatt Toronto. The location is excellent, very close to many attractions, the subway, and lots of great restaurants and shopping. The hotel's rooftop bar is spectacular! Locals told us it is the best bar in Toronto, and we believe them. The bar offers amazing views of downtown and the CN Tower while you sip martinis (try the China Martini!) and snack on appetizers. Our room was large, quiet, and nice, but not great -- it needed updating and looked a little tired (some peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and the chairs were a bit beaten up). The concierge staff was always very helpful, and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. Our only negative experience was one night with the manager in the roof lounge who told us that no outside tables were available and that there was a wait list. One of the waiters heard, and said he had 2 tables available and there was no wait. I'm sure the manager was trying to hold the tables for people who looked a little swankier. Hooray for the waitstaff! We would definitely stay here again.

Very Comfortable
This hotel is on the expensive side, but it's very quiet, though it's only a half-block off Bloor Street. For those who value comfort and cleanliness, the Park Hyatt is highly recommended.

excellent service
One of the few hotels I have stayed in where they welcome all requests. There is no attitude that you are asking for something out of the ordinary or odd no matter the request. I asked for shavingcream to needing a cab for dinner (they took us in the hotel car both nights). I stayed back to back weekends and would do it again. Great place with exceptional service.
