Fun long weekend
Great for vacation or business
We were in Toronto for a sporting event and a mini-vacation (my husband and I, that is). Great location- easy walk to the Rogers Center, Eaton, Union Station, lots of restaurants... And the room was wonderful. Terrific use of space, great view, great amenities (a dishwasher, washer, and dryer?! I kid you not!) and - my husband's main requirement - an "awesome shower." All at what was, in my opinion, a great price. Next time we're in Toronto, we're there.

An Excellent Place to Stay
I picked this hotel instead of my usual Hyatt largely because [...] it had a four-star rating. I ended up being incredibly satisfied with this decision. The One King West Hotel & Residence was outstanding in every regard. Subway access couldn't have been closer (right outside hotel door), free wifi in the lobby, helpful staff, nice spacious rooms (my wife particularly enjoyed the kitchenette), and a terrific location right in the heart of the city. Everything I want while visiting a major city, and at a very reasonable cost.Highly, highly recommended.

Long walk from hotel
The main Toronto museums are ridiculously expensive, but there are certain times where they offer lower rates. For instance, my wife and I went to the ROM on Friday after 4:30 when admission is half-off.

Kind of Beat-Up
The hotel location was terrific, Starbucks, The Subway etc. were right across the street - very convenient. However, the room I stayed in was beat-up, stained carpeting, stained bedskirt, carpet had shifted and was coming up. Not what I expected in such a young hotel. The staff was terrific, but could not accomodate my request to move my room.

Great staff, location and rooms
I stayed here for one night and the staff was great and there is a quite a bit to do in the area. I think there must be a bar on the second floor - or a club - it was very loud. Other than that the only complaint I had was the amount of time it took for the valet to get my car - I called down about 20 minutes before I went downstairs, thinking the car would be ready (and warm) when I got down there, but I had to wait another 15 - 20 minutes once I got down to the lobby.

Nothing Special
We went to a restaurant/nightclub called Maro. The clerk at the front desk was professional , but seemed like she did not want to be there. Her enthusiasm to accomnodate us for the night seemed very forced. The room was everything we needed for the couple hours stay, because it was simple and cozy. The one drawback, was that the floor was stained with what we haoped to be mud and some of the lamps did not work.

Everything was within a general waling and short drive distance that we needed for the stay. Which was the only thing that would separate this hotel from the others. Even though there are other hotels in the area with better customer service.

Great hotel, well located
Very well equipped suite, including washing machine and dryer. Spacious and clean, well laid out. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

excellent value
Hotel restaurant was very good. The room not only had a mini washer and dryer, but a dishwasher as well. Great for an extended stay at a reasonable price.

Pretty nice hotel
Overall the hotel was just what we needed. Our room was on the 6th floor with atrium view[...]. Direct access to Toronto's underground Path walkway and shops. Also, the subway is right across the street, as is a drug store, Starbucks and Subway resturant. 4 stars is about accurate for our experience. The bed was a bit stiff, but the comforter was perfect. Our dryer was quite loud the only time we used it, but it wasn't bothersome. We were able to watch a movie in our room that was still in the theaters(14.99 + tax). We were given an internet access code for the wired internet in our room (cord provided) for free, which was very nice. There is free wireless internet in the lobby.
