Not really a good experience
Very very small room, small air condition system not really doing a good job (high temperature in the room).

Great Value.
I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Toronto. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal. The subway is only about 2 blocks away and there is a restaurant downstairs where you can get a sandwich and drinks. For the price, this place was excellent.

Great Location for Toronto Hotel
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel; specifically because the location was very convenient, the room was especially quiet and the bed was comfortable. It was indeed a two-star hotel but exceeded my expectations for what I wanted - a good night's sleep in a location near family and the University of Toronto. As a bonus there was a discount grocery store and a Shopper's Drug Mart nearby. The breakfast was satisfactory and you can make coffee in your room. I would definitely stay there again and would ask to stay on the seventh floor.

Oh you know..
Rooms are very tiny, but if you have a tight budget great hotel, cost ten bucks to get from eaton center on youngs rite back to our doorstep, or if your up for the walk it's about 15minutes. At night time thought i wouldn't advise walking, kindof shady.

frustration
I missed an important meeting (and dinner) because the Receptionist put me "on the wrong track" sending me to the opposite side of Toronto

misinformation
I was supposed to meet a friend; she called and told me to take a bus to Woodbine Racecourse/ Casino and that the Receptionist will give me directions I called the Reception and was told that ... he doesn't know.... When leaving the Hotel I asked if he could give me "an idea" which way to go.. the answer was "go to the subway Station, take the train eastwards and then take a bus south... I proceeded accordingly, but after about an hour, taking more than one bus, and asking passers by for directions I ended up in the middle of nowhere at the opposite side of tthe town about 1.5 hour ride to the destination onw

Isabella Hotel
This hotel is located close to downtown shopping, and there is a restaurant located in the hotel. The rooms are small, but clean. The bathroom is small, but equipped with a beautiful shower. The lobby of the hotel is clean, and modern, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Great spot if you're looking to be near the downtown core without breaking the bank.

Somewhat Overpriced
An acceptable hotel, it is just slightly overpriced for being off the beaten path. Church Street restaurants are 10 minute walk and the grunge of Younge Street is another 10 minutes. A good benchmark for Toronto hotels is to be close to: a)safe, long-term parking, b)variety of restaurants and c)access to the subway. While this is a clean, basic hotel it did not meet the three benchmarks for me. Front desk staff was aloof and inattentive taking "boutique" to the extreme. Keep in mind the hotel pictures were taken on day one when the carpet was new, the bedspread was bright and the tile was shiny...

Time-saving tip:
Long walk from hotel
Park the car during your stay at Charles Street parking garage between Younge and Church. It is enclosed, lighted, secure and you have access 24/7. It is also next to subway entrance so you can stow away purchases before heading back to hotel.

Over charge
Room was clean but very dark as the window was open to a break wall from another building! There was not enough towel for everyone. We had luggage that we had to carry ourselves to our room. When we got out of elevator, it was two steps and a narrow hall no room to use the luggage cart! So, we had to stop there and carry the luggage one by one to our room! We arrived at 12 mid night. They said their parking was full! I had to drive to a nearby public parking. On top of everything, we were charged two times even we had paid through [...]! When I called later next day after we checked out, they said one charge was just a hold and would be credited back to my credit card and the second one was by mistake and would be revered within 10 minutes! We are back in US. It's been 28 hours as I am writing this and no refund on any charges yet! Overall it is a 1 star hotel and not a family facility for sure.
