Great Spot

Staff very friendly and informative. We went to live theatre shows in the area. Plenty of great restaurants in the immediate area.

The hotel made other accommodations for us which made the 5 days much more comfortable. They definately went the extra mile for us.

Save your money and have dinner at the CN Tower restaurant. You can get an entree for the same price as an observation deck ticket. Kids dinners are 17 bucks and the mac and cheese is the best. After dinner walk down to the observation deck for free and walk the glass floor.........awesome!

Great Location

The location was great with an easy walk to dozens of restaurants and pubs as well as the CN Tower and other downtown attractions. The room was comfortable and well appointed. It is a good hotel for a weekend getaway, but not convenient for a business traveler, particularly if on an extended trip. Small conveniences get expensive. I would have liked a refrigerator or microwave in the room.

Great stay!

Great location! Excellent view! Room was perfect! Staff was very accommodating. The only downside was the extra 25$ for parking. Other then that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Nice getaway

I took my girlfriend to Toronto for a one night getaway and we really enjoyed our stay as always. The room was not very well heated tho. We tried setting the temp around 75 degrees f and then the highest setting 90 degrees f and it only pumped out cold air. The lamp in the room looked like a bulb sat against the shade and started to burn it and one of the lights over the bed was out. Otherwise a great view of the CN tower and great service. We've ordered room service in the past and it was excelent. A little pricy but thats expected as well as the parking is $25 a night. The parking was underground, close spots to the elevator and come and go parking till 4pm the day after you pay. Overall another great experience at the Hyatt Toronto!

Great location and lovely room.

The hotel staff were wonderful, accommodating, and professional. The rooms are lovely with a very modern style, extremely comfortable beds, and very roomy bathrooms. My only disappointment was the lack of a refrigerator in the room and the awful coffee packet with its powdered whitener for the coffee; this really cheapend the feel of my stay. There is a Starbucks down in the lobby but it is always great to wake to good cup of coffee or tea that you don't have to get dressed to acquire.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The restaurants directly across the street are fabulous! You can eat everything from Indian to Italian to French in fantastic places with excellent service. My absolute favorite was La Fenice that had a wonderful fresh fish selection that they brought to the table for selection. It was prepared whole, fantastically grilled with a crispy skin, and deboned at the table.

Hyatt Toronto Downtown

As is happening in many hotels that used to have more staff, this one is suffering from some cutbacks. The hotel is very good, with a great renovation and an excellent location, it's just that it could do with a little more staff to cover all of the services. Also, the pool is outdoor, which is a little disingenuous given the fact that the hotel is, in fact, in Canada.
